A first object of the present invention is to provide a composition that is capable of forming a cured substance having a high magnetic permeability and a low magnetic loss and has excellent hole filling suitability and excellent storage stability. A second object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic particle-containing cured substance formed of the composition. A third object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic particle-introduced substrate and an electronic material that contain the magnetic particle-containing cured substance.

The composition according to an embodiment of the present invention is a composition containing magnetic particles and an organic solvent, in which the magnetic particles include magnetic particles X having a sphericity of 100 to 120, the magnetic particles X include ferrite particles, a content of magnetic particles that are included in the magnetic particles X and have an equivalent circle diameter of less than 11 m is 15% to 70% by mass with respect to a total mass of the magnetic particles X, and a volume average particle size of the magnetic particles X is 5 to 50 m.

Disclosed herein is a hydrophilic coating that includes an adhesive agent; an insolubilizer for insolubilizing the adhesive agent; titanium dioxide; and a metal oxide selected from the group consisting of silver oxide, copper oxide, iron oxide, magnesium oxide, and combinations thereof. The hydrophilic coating is useful on the heat transfer surfaces of a condensing heat exchanger.

Described herein are superhydrophobic coatings based on silica nanoparticles, metal compound nanoparticles, and hydrophobic polymers that provide a damage tolerant superhydrophobic capability, wherein the metal compound nanorods can comprise a rare earth metal phosphate salt or an aluminum oxide. Methods of creating water resistant materials by employing the aforementioned coatings are also described.

When the coating film is subjected to a testing such that a long fiber non-woven fabric including cotton linters including an alcohol for disinfection with a length of 50 mm along a wiping direction is brought contiguous to the surface of the coating film at a shearing stress of 210.sup.3 MPa to 410.sup.3 MPa, followed by wiping off the surface of the coating film at a speed of 80 times/min to 120 times/min and 20,000 repetitions thereof for a wiping direction length of 150 mm, a difference (an absolute value of a difference) between the static friction coefficients of the coating film before and after the testing is not greater than 0.1.

Composition and method for a microtexture hydrophobic or superhydrophobic coating

A composition for a microtexture hydrophobic or superhydrophobic coating. The microtexture coating includes a coating layer disposed on a substrate with hydrophobic or superhydrophobic particles dispersed on top of or partially embedded in the coating layer to form an outer layer. The outer layer exhibits water repellant properties. Use of the microtexture coating permits large scale, durable hydrophobic or superhydrophobic coating applications. A method of applying a coating to a substrate creating a hydrophobic or superhydrophobic surface that includes applying a polymer material or an adhesive material to the substrate creating a polymer coating layer having a top surface; initially curing the applied coating layer for a specified amount of time allowing the coating layer to partially cure; and applying a solution, at a specified velocity, containing hydrophobic particles or superhydrophobic particles on top of the partially cured coating layer.

Protective coatings for galvanized steel

Inorganic coatings that may be used to coat and protect galvanized steel are disclosed. The protective inorganic coatings include a liquid composition portion comprising water, alkali metal oxide components and a silicate-containing component. The coatings also include a powder composition portion comprising microspheres, metal oxide powder and optional microfibers. When applied to galvanized steel, the coatings provide chemical and physical protection.

A thermally conductive silicone composition includes silicone as a matrix component and a thermally conductive filler. The matrix component includes a silicone base polymer having a vinyl group and a silicone oil having no vinyl group. The thermally conductive filler includes aluminum nitride particles. The thermally conductive silicone composition includes a peroxide as a curing component. A thermally conductive silicone sheet 1 of the present invention includes the thermally conductive silicone composition (3,4) being applied to at least one surface of a sizing sheet of a glass cloth 2. The thickness of the thermally conductive silicone sheet is 0.1 to 1 mm. Thus, a thermally conductive silicone rubber composition that is flexible and has strength and high thermal conductive properties, a sheet thereof, and a method for producing the sheet are provided.
