Feedstock and methods of making feedstock for cold spray techniques
A feedstock for a cold spray process includes a plurality of globule bodies. The globule bodies include a plurality of discrete particles bonded to one another to define porous globule bodies. The bonds between the particles are of sufficient strength such that the globule bodies can retain both the body integrity as well as the body shape when the body experiences acceleration from a conveying gas in a cold spray technique. Methods of making the feedstock and globule bodies are also described.
ICE-PHOBIC COATINGS
A coating composition which provides a coating with a very low adhesion to ice is disclosed. The coating composition contains a cross-linked silicone binder resin and an elastomeric silicone powder.
Coatings using clays with low packing density
Paper and paperboard coatings are disclosed using a modified clay which is characterized by an average shape factor less than 60, a sediment void volume greater than 48%, and containing less than 30% by mass of particles less than 1 micron in diameter.
Achieving electromagnetic interference shielding protection by deposition of highly conductive compositions
Provided herein are highly conductive compositions (having a volume resistivity no greater than 110.sup.3 Ohms.Math.cm) using silver flake, powder or suspension in solvent for electromagnetic interference (EMI) applications. This high conductivity will allow the use of very thin films for EMI shielding protection, which in turn will be helpful to reduce package sizes. In some embodiments, the coating composition is applied on the device surface by suitable means, e.g., by an electrostatic spray process, air spray process, ultrasonic spray process, spin coating process, or the like.
COMPOSITION, COATING METHOD, AND MULTILAYER STRUCTURE
The composition of the present invention includes tungsten oxide particle, inorganic particle other than tungsten oxide particle, and a solvent. The inorganic particle is preferably made of a clay mineral. The clay mineral is preferably bentonite, saponite, or mica. The volume median diameter (D.sub.50) of the tungsten oxide particle is preferably 0.01 m or more and 10.0 m or less.
COATING COMPOSITION FOR GOLF BALLS
The present invention relates to a coating composition for covering golf balls. More particularly, the present invention relates to a matte coating composition mixed with a synthetic fatty acid resin derived from dehydrated castor oil. According to the present invention, a golf ball having a matte surface can realize a uniform and fine matte appearance and ensure a field of vision to enable high-precision hitting, faithfully express desired marks of various colors, characters and patterns applied thereto, and prevent surface yellowing caused by exposure to ultraviolet rays over a long period of time.
Textiles having flame protection function
The invention relates to flame-retardant foam coatings for textile sheet products, wherein the coatings include plate-like expandable graphite which has a reduced salt content and a particle distribution with a proportion of >80 percent by weight having a diameter of at least 0.2 mm, and/or a minimum proportion of 70% having a mesh size of >50 mesh (0.3 mm), at least one binder and at least one foam stabilizer, and also processes for the production thereof, the use thereof for producing textile sheet products and also textile sheet products having such flame-retardant foam coatings.
Silver and copper nanoparticle composites
A silver nanoparticle composite or a copper nanoparticle composite is formed in which the silver nanoparticle composite has silver nanoparticles, and both (a) one or more polymers and ascorbic acid adsorbed on the silver nanoparticles, wherein the (a) one or more polymers are selected from one or more of cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate phthalate, cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose acetate propionate, cellulose acetate trimellitate, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose phthalate, methyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, and carboxymethyl cellulose. Copper nanoparticle composite are similarly formed in which both the (a) one or more polymers and ascorbic acid are adsorbed on the copper nanoparticles.
Polyether polymer composition
A polyether polymer composition containing 50 parts by weight or more of a filler per 100 parts by weight of a polyether polymer composed of 10 to 200 oxirane monomer units is provided. The present invention can provide a polyether polymer composition that is capable of appropriately showing various properties of the filler such as high heat conductivity and high electrical conductivity and that also has excellent long-term stability.
ANTACIDS FOR POLYMERS
The present invention provides polymer compositions having improved corrosivity, color stability and clarity. Also disclosed is a process of preparing the polymers. The process may comprise incorporating into the polymer an acid neutralizing amount of an amorphous aluminum silicate. The amorphous aluminum silicate may be present in the polymer in an amount such that the polymer composition having a Corrosivity Index of less than 6. A refractive index of the amorphous aluminum silicate may be the same or substantially the same as a refractive index of the polymer.
