NANO-BORON FOR TEXTILES
The present disclosure relates to textile coatings, and to nanometer sized particles of boron in solution used for textile coatings. In one embodiment, a nano-boron textile coating is comprised of a solution including silicon, a dispersant, a softener, and acetic acid mixed in water; and a plurality of nano-boron particles dispersed in the solution. A textile with an applied nano-boron textile coating, and a process for preparing and applying a textile coating are also disclosed.
COATING TO COOL A SURFACE BY PASSIVE RADIATIVE COOLING
Disclosed herein are implementations of a radiative cooling formulation, an apparatus including a substrate coated with the radiative cooling formulation, and a method of applying a coating of the radiative cooling formulation to an object. In one implementation, a radiative cooling formulation includes a binder which includes a first polymer and a second polymer that are practically water insoluble and are substantially non-absorbing to light having wavelengths in a solar spectrum. The radiative cooling formulation further includes a solar reflector material embedded in the binder.
Light-shielding film for optical element and optical element having light-shielding film
A light-shielding film for optical element includes at least a resin and a colorant. The light-shielding film for optical element has an average extinction coefficient of 0.03 or more and 0.15 or less as an average of extinction coefficients of the whole light-shielding film for light having wavelengths ranging from 400 to 700 nm.
ULTRA FINE NEPHELINE SYENITE POWDER AND PRODUCTS FOR USING SAME
Specifically identified products are produced using powder formed from particles of a naturally occurring organic oxide mineral with substantially no free silica, preferably nepheline syenite, where the powder is essentially dry with a moisture content of less than 0.8% and has a controlled maximum particle size with 99.9% of the particles of the powder having a particle size of less than 10 microns defined as fine grain ultra-fine powder, which fine grain ultra-fine powder is preferably less than 6 microns, and where the fine grain ultra-fine powder comprises 3-25% by weight of the identified product.
INSULATION PRODUCTS HAVING NON-AQUEOUS MOISTURIZER
An insulation product comprising fibers consolidated with a binder is disclosed to which a non-aqueous moisturizer has been included. The binder is disposed upon the fibers and the non-aqueous moisturizer is in contact with fibers and/or binder. The insulation product may be an uncured fiber insulation product in which the binder is an uncured binder. The insulation product may be packaged in a suitable material. Accordingly, disclosed is a packaged uncured fiber insulation product.
LASER-MARKABLE POLYMERS AND COATINGS
The present invention relates to laser-markable polymers and coatings which are distinguished by the fact that they comprise tin/antimony oxide-coated spherical TiO.sub.2 particles of defined particle size as laser additive.
NANOCOMPOSITE FORMULATIONS FOR OPTICAL APPLICATIONS
The present disclosure provides a high refractive index acrylic formulation embedded with sub-10 nm metal oxide nanocrystals. The formulation is ideal for high refractive index, high transparency coating for a variety of optical applications including OLED lighting.
Aqueous paint compositions with soft feel and light diffusion effects
The present invention is directed to an aqueous architectural composition comprising a low Tg (less than about 10 C. and higher than about 50 C.) acrylic emulsion polymer with at least one cross-linkable moiety, and solid polyutherane (PU) or polybutylacrylate microspheres having a mean weight diameter of less than about 40 microns and a Tg of less than about 0 C., wherein the solid PU spheres make up about 10% to about 20% by weight of the composition. The solid acrylic polymer without water and the PU spheres make up about 30% to about 40% by weight of the aqueous composition. A dried paint film formed by the inventive aqueous architectural composition can withstand at least about 500 cycles on the scrub test, and a gloss value at 60 of less than about 2.5 GU.
FLOOR COATING COMPOSITION
A floor coating composition that has a long pot life and dries fast, and a coating made therefrom having good slip resistance and high adhesion strength to the floor.
POLYESTER-BASED RESIN PARTICLES, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND USE THEREOF
Polyester-based resin particles including a polyester-based resin as a base resin, in which the base resin exhibits a plurality of endothermic peaks corresponding to crystal melting temperatures by DSC measurement, at least one of the endothermic peaks exists in each region of a low temperature side region and a high temperature side region, a maximum endothermic peak of the low temperature side region and a maximum endothermic peak of the high temperature side region exhibit a crystal melting heat amount ratio (low temperature side crystal melting heat amount/high temperature side crystal melting heat amount) in a range of 0.1 to 1.5, and the polyester-based resin particles have a volume average particle diameter of 1 to 50 m.
