Hollow glass bodies (1, 2) will be mainly shaped as hollow, vacuumed microballs. A mixture forming the material can contain hollow glass bodies (1) making up 3 to 30% of its mass, filler hollow glass bodies making up 3 to 15% of its mass and silicon dioxide making up 1 to 17% of its mass. The material for surface treatment is health friendly, it can be used especially on the house fa?ades and in industry, where it is applied on the surface (4), the heath transfer and incandescence of which is to be diminished.

Composition of hydrophilic painted surface
10017651 · 2018-07-10 · ·

Paint configured to provide a hydrophilic paint surface comprising a paint base and a texture imprinting additive (TIA) that provides sacrificial particles upon drying of the paint. Loss of the sacrificial particles increases roughness and reduces the contact angle with water, providing a hydrophilic surface that is wettable and hence self-cleaning. Also described are specific types of TIA, methods of making the paint, methods of making a hydrophilic surface, and kits.

Powder coating compositions capable of having a substantially non-zinc containing primer

Corrosion and chip-resistant coatings for high tensile steel components, such as automotive coil springs, can be formed from a coating composition comprising a primer having an epoxy resin with the proviso that the epoxy resin does not have an EEW of about 860 to about 930, a polyhydroxyl functional phenolic curing agent having a HEW of about 200 to about 500, and a platy filler. The primer contains less than 20 wt % zinc. The topcoat includes an epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent weight of about 450 to about 1400, an elastomer-modified epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent weight of about 1000 to about 1600, a foaming agent and a reinforcing fiber.

Reinforced Polymer Coating

The present invention relates to a process for producing a peelable coating on metallic substrates, which comprises (1) providing a metallic substrate, (2) applying a peelable lacquer to the metallic substrate, and (3) curing the peelable lacquer applied, in which, the peelable lacquer comprises microhollow spheres. The present invention also relates to a process for the chemical milling of metallic substrates.

SELF-CLEANING COATING COMPOSITION

The present invention relates to compositions with self-cleaning properties. More particularly, the invention concerns coatings or paints comprising particles coated with a catalytically active composition. In particular, a self-cleaning coating composition (paint) is provided, comprising micro-sized particles coated with a functional layer, wherein the micro-sized particles are hollow or solid beads, or any combination/ratio of hollow and solid beads, wherein the beads comprise one or more material(s) selected from ceramic material(s); polymeric material(s); cermet material(s); metallic material(s); pigmented material(s); light-absorbing and/or light reflecting material(s); including any combination thereof, wherein said layer is covalently bound to said particles, wherein the photocatalytic layer comprises TiO.sub.2 in the crystal form of anatase; and wherein the coating composition (paint) comprises less than 0.1 anatase particles derived/released from the micro-sized beads, determined as weight/weight of released anatase/total amount of anatase. The invention provides paint essentially without presence of unbound anatase crystals which is highly undesired, as it is believed that their presence has a negative influence on essential components of the paint, such as binder, pigment and/or additives and furthermore, anatase may cause eye, skin, and respiratory tract irritation.

CONDUCTIVE COATING COMPOSITION, CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONDUCTIVE COATING COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL
20180171161 · 2018-06-21 ·

A conductive coating composition includes graphite intercalation compounds, metal particles, a binder, and a dissolving agent. The graphite intercalation compounds are compounds having a sandwich structure where various atoms, molecules, etc., are inserted between layers of graphite, which is a layered material in which carbon hexagonal net planes are laminated in parallel. The binder and the dissolving agent allow the graphite intercalation compounds and the metal particles to be bonded. The volume of the graphite intercalation compounds in the conductive coating composition is larger than the volume of the metal particles in the conductive coating composition.

MATTE SHEET AND MATTE PRODUCT MADE THEREFROM

A matte sheet includes a substrate and a matte coating layer. The matte coating layer is formed on the substrate. The matte coating layer has an average thickness ranging from 2.5 m to 6 m and is made from a coating composition that includes a matting agent. The matte coating layer satisfies an inequality formula of 5<d.sub.50/Ra11. D.sub.50 stands for a particle size distribution of the matting agent and Ra stands for a roughness of the matte coating layer. The matte product made from the matte sheet is also provided.
