A matte clear coating composition for an aluminum member, comprising acrylic resin (A) having a hydroxy value of 100 to 200 mgKOH/g; melamine resin (B); silica particles (C) having an average particle size of 1.0 to 15 m; and polyolefin wax (D) having an average particle size of 10 to 40 m and a melting point of 145 C. to 180 C., the matte clear coating composition comprising 5 to 20 mass % of silica particles (C) and 3 to 15 mass % of polyolefin wax (D) based on the total solids content of acrylic resin (A) and melamine resin (B). The matte clear coating composition for an aluminum member satisfies both corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance (scratch resistance).

Rubber member for developing roll, and method for manufacturing same

It is an object of the present invention to provide a development roll rubber member that has a uniformly roughened surface on a rubber member surface, that is capable of ensuring a sufficient thickness without contaminating a peripheral portion while maintaining a flexibility in a coating layer and a convex portion without impairing softness of a rubber substrate layer, and that has the coating layer achieving non-tackiness and low friction, and a method of manufacturing the same, and the object is achieved by putting a reactive silicone oil, an isocyanate compound, and a diluent solvent capable of dissolving both the reactive silicone oil and the isocyanate compound into a reaction container, by causing a prepolymerization reaction in which the reactive silicone oil and the isocyanate compound are reacted into a polymerized state in the diluent solvent in the reaction container while dissolution in the solvent is maintained, by subsequently mixing a polyol and an isocyanate compound solution and using silicone rubber particles 101 to prepare an application liquid of a coating layer 13 component, and by applying and curing the application liquid around the development roll 1 for formation.

POWER FOR THERMAL SPRAYING, THERMAL SPRAYING METHOD, AND THERMALLY SPRAYED COATING

To provide powder for thermal spraying, a method of thermal spraying, and a thermally sprayed coating, which can efficiently work supplying of a dry state powder by using a powder supplying apparatus with a thermal spraying apparatus, and which prevent variation and pulsation or lowering of supplied amount of powder and achieve a required film forming rate, and can obtain a denser coating on the surface of the substrate to be thermally sprayed. [Solution] Powder for thermal spraying 1 is a powder mixture obtained by mixing ceramic powder A whose particle diameter is D.sub.1 and ceramic powder B whose particle diameter is D.sub.2, wherein D.sub.1 is 0.5 to 12 ?m as a median diameter, D.sub.2 is 0.003 to 0.100 ?m as an average particle diameter converted from the BET specific surface area, and when, in the powder mixture, the total weight of the ceramic powder A to be used whose prescribed particle diameter D.sub.1 is W.sub.1, and the total weight of the ceramic powder B to be added to the ceramic powder A is W2, an addition ratio Y of the ceramic powder B defined by Y=W.sub.2/(W.sub.1+W.sub.2) satisfies: Y?0.2066?D.sub.1.sup.?0.751 and Y?0.505?D.sub.1.sup.?0.163.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEXTURED COATING

A coated article is described, including a substrate with a coating composition applied thereon to provide a coated article with a textured surface. In one aspect, the coated article is a steel rebar used to reinforce concrete. The textured surface provides optimal surface roughness and demonstrates superior pullout strength relative to an uncoated standard.
