Preparation of high conductivity copper films

A copper precursor composition contains: a first copper complex of an imine or a first cyclic amine coordinated to a first copper precursor compound; and, a second copper complex of a primary amine or a second cyclic amine coordinated to a second copper precursor compound. A copper precursor composition contains a copper complex of an imine coordinated to a copper precursor compound. The copper precursor composition is thermally degradable at a temperature lower than a comparable composition containing only primary amine copper complexes under otherwise the same conditions to produce a metallic copper film having a resistivity of about 200 -cm or less. Inks containing the copper precursor composition and a solvent may be deposited on a substrate and sintered to produce a metallic copper film. The substrate with the film thereon is useful in electronic devices.

Processing of polymer based inks and pastes

The present invention relates to a process of forming electrical conductor on a substrate comprising the steps of a) providing a substrate; b) providing an electrically conductive composition; c) applying said electrically conductive composition to at least one part of said substrate; and d) exposing said electrically conductive composition on the substrate to a near infrared light to form an electrical conductor. NIR light cure provides improved electrical properties of the cured composition without damaging heat sensitive substrates.

An object is to achieve both good washing fastness and texture by combining a urethane resin of high fracture elongation with a small quantity of crosslinking agent. As a means for achieving the object, a white inkjet ink composition for textile printing is provided that contains a white pigment, a water-dispersible urethane resin having reactivity to cationic compounds, a crosslinking agent, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water; wherein the crosslinking agent is contained by 0.02 to 0.15 parts by mass relative to 1 part by mass of the water-dispersible urethane resin, and as the water-soluble organic solvent, a glycol ether that dissolves by 1 to 60 g in 100 g of water is contained.

Herein is described a piezo-jettable varnish composition comprising a latex polymer having a weight averaged molecular weight Mw of greater than about 50 000, a polymeric salt derived from an acidic polymer having a weight averaged molecular weight Mw in the range of about 1000 to about 50 000, water, and a co-solvent, wherein, the latex polymer and polymeric salt are present in amounts such that the ratio of latex polymer to polymeric salt by weight is in the range of greater than about 1:1 to about 8:1.
