DIGITAL BINDER AND POWDER PRINT
20210379907 · 2021-12-09 · ·

A method and equipment to form a digital print by applying dry colourants on a surface of a panel, bonding a part of the colourants with a binder and removing the non-bonded colourants from the surface. The method of forming a digital print on a surface of a panel includes displacing the panel under a digital drop application head, applying a liquid binder with the digital drop application head on the surface; applying colourants on the liquid binder and the surface; bonding a part of the colourants to the surface with the liquid binder; removing non-bonded colourants from the surface such that a digital print is formed by the bonded colourants; and applying heat and pressure on the panel, the surface and the bonded colorants such that the colourants are permanently bonded to the surface.

DYE-SUBLIMATION INKJET PRINTING FOR TEXTILE

Provided herein is an inkjet dye-sublimation ink composition that is formulated to interact with an immobilizing composition such that the ink composition coagulates on the surface of an absorptive substrate, thereby substantially limiting soaking of the ink composition into the substrate. Also provided are a printing process and a printing machine, wherein the ink composition is directly printed on the substrate concomitantly with the immobilizing composition, and thereafter undergo heat-pressing to afford a dye-sublimation transfer of the dye to the substrate, thereby forming an image which is characterized by sharp and well defined edges of the dyed areas.

A COATING MATERIAL FOR MARKING PLASTICS, A METHOD FOR MARKING PLASTICS, A METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF MARKED PLASTICS AND THEIR APPLICATION IN SORTING PLASTIC WASTE

Components of a system for marking, identification and segregation of plastic waste, including waste of multi-layer and multi-component plastics is disclosed herein. The coating material for marking plastics contains a base of the coating material and fluorescent markers dissolved or dispersed in the base of the coating material. The composition of the coating material or the way it is printed constitutes an arbitrary code, consistent with the adopted marking system. The coating material can be washed off from the surface of marked material with a washing agent. The code contained in the composition of the coating material or in the way it is printed is readable after irradiating with appropriate wavelength. The use of printed graphic or text patterns with at least two coating materials containing different fluorescent markers allows for creation of a practically unlimited number of individual identification codes.

POLYESTERS, POLYMER COMPOSITIONS, AND METHODS OF USING THEREOF
20210380826 · 2021-12-09 ·

Provided herein are polyesters that comprise (i) monomer units derived from sugar-based bicyclic diol; (ii) monomer units derived from an unsaturated aliphatic diacid; and (iii) monomer units derived from a saturated aliphatic diacid. The monomer units derived from the ethylenically unsaturated aliphatic diacid can be present in an amount of from greater than 0 mole % to 40 mole % of the polyester. These polyesters can be formed into articles using additive manufacturing methods. The resulting articles can be biocompatible, resorbable over a span of from 3 months to 12 months following implantation in the human body, and can exhibit desirable mechanical properties for applications, including porosity and elasticity.
