An active energy ray curing composition contains a urethane acrylate oligomer (A) having three or more polymerizable functional groups, a polyfunctional monomer (B) having three or more polymerizable functional groups, a monofunctional monomer (C), and a surfactant (D) having a siloxane bond, wherein the urethane acrylate oligomer (A) has a glass transition temperature of 85 degrees C. or lower, wherein the urethane acrylate oligomer (A) has a weight average molecular weight of from 1,000 to 9,000, wherein the polyfunctional monomer (B) accounts for 22.0 to 60.0 percent by mass of the entire of the active energy ray curing composition.

An aqueous inkjet ink contains: a) a colour pigment; b) an alkoxylated fluorosurfactant; and c) an ethoxylated oligomer having a molecular weight smaller than 400; and has a static surface tension at 25° C. of no more than 28 mN.Math.m; and a viscosity between 5 and 12 mPa.Math.s at 32° C. at a shear rate of 1,000 s.sup.−1.

The ratio of a content A (% by mass) of the compound (A) based on the total mass of the aqueous ink to the sum of the content A (% by mass) of the compound (A) and the content B (% by mass) of the compound (B) based on the total mass of the aqueous ink is 0.40 or less. The sum of the content A (% by mass) of the compound (A) and the content B (% by mass) of the compound (B) based on the total mass of the aqueous ink is 1.00% by mass or less.

Provided is an aqueous ink containing: a pigment; a compound (A) represented by following general formula (1); and a compound (B) represented by following general formula (2). Provided is an aqueous ink for ink jet containing a pigment and a resin particle that disperses the pigment. The cumulative 50% particle size of the resin particle in a volume-based particle size distribution is 10 nm or less. The resin particle has a crosslinking structure. The ratio of the cumulative 50% particle size of the pigment in a volume-based particle size distribution to the cumulative 50% particle size of the resin particle in a volume-based particle size distribution is 3.0 times or more to 8.0 times or less. Also, provided are an ink cartridge and an ink jet recording method using this aqueous ink.
LOW ODOR RADIATION CURABLE INK COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to low odor radiation curable ink compositions. The composition comprises 10-40% w/w of 4-hydrobutylacrylate, 5-25% of a urethane (math)acrylate oligomer, 10-55% of diacrylates, one or more photoinitiators, one or more additives, and one or more pigments. The composition excludes many monofunctional monomers that have distinct odor and are commonly used in an ink jet composition.
