An inkjet ink for a glass substrate can enable formation of an aesthetic image with high concealability on the surface of the glass substrate. The inkjet ink disclosed here can include: an inorganic solid including an inorganic pigment that develops black and a glass frit; a monomer component having a photocuring property; and a photoinitiator. In the inkjet ink, a volume ratio of the inorganic solid in a case where an ink total volume is 100 volume% can be 35 volume% or less, a volume ratio of the inorganic pigment in the case where a total volume of the inorganic solid is 100 volume% can be 15 volume% or more and less than 90 volume%, and a volume ratio of the inorganic pigment to the photoinitiator can be 6 times or less.

An object is to provide a photocurable inkjet printing ink composition offering curability and adhesion on printing targets including sheets whose printing face is constituted by paper, polyester, polyvinyl chloride, ethylene-vinyl acetate-based copolymer, or other vinyl-based polymers, etc., and additionally having storage stability. The cured coating film has low odor, low tackiness, abrasion resistance, high water resistance, high ethanol resistance, stretchability, and excellent bending resistance. Means for solving the problem includes providing a photocurable inkjet printing ink composition containing vinyl methyl oxazolidinone by 5 to 50% by mass relative to the entire ink composition, a monofunctional photopolymerizable monomer having a glass-transition temperature of 10° C. or less by 10 to 50% by mass relative to the entire ink composition, a colorant, and a photopolymerization initiator.

A glass filler of the present disclosure includes glass having a composition, the composition including iron oxide. For the content in mass % of the iron oxide in the composition, 0.005≤FeO≤0.30 and 0.01≤T-Fe.sub.2O.sub.3≤0.80 (T-Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 represents total iron oxide calculated as Fe.sub.2O.sub.3) are satisfied. For the iron oxide in the composition, Fe.sup.2+/(Fe.sup.2++Fe.sup.3+), which represents the proportion by mass of Fe.sup.2+ to total iron, is 0.15 or more and 1.00 or less. The glass filler of the present disclosure is a glass filler having a new composition including a coloring component, the glass filler having a high visible transmittance and a controlled color which can be, for example, within a range of colors different from those of conventional glass fillers that have a low visible transmittance.

A manufacturing method for decorating natural leather with a decorative image includes applying on a crusted leather a base coat containing a pigment for providing a chromatic colour or an achromatic colour different from black, inkjet printing a colour image on the base coat using one or more pigmented UV curable inkjet inks, optionally applying a protective top coat on the image, and optionally applying a heat pressing or embossing step, wherein the chromatic colour or the achromatic colour different from black of the base coat and the inkjet printed colour image are used in combination to provide the decorative image.

A manufacturing method for decorating natural leather with a decorative image includes applying on a crusted leather a base coat containing a pigment for providing a chromatic colour or an achromatic colour different from black, inkjet printing a colour image on the base coat using one or more pigmented UV curable inkjet inks, optionally applying a protective top coat on the image, and optionally applying a heat pressing or embossing step, wherein the chromatic colour or the achromatic colour different from black of the base coat and the inkjet printed colour image are used in combination to provide the decorative image.

WATER-BASED INK FOR INKJET RECORDING, PRINTED RECORDING MEDIUM, INKJET RECORDING METHOD, INKJET RECORDING DEVICE, AND INK STORAGE CONTAINER

A water-based ink includes a pigment, water, a penetrating agent, and a binder resin. The penetrating agent includes a compound of formula (1). x is greater than or equal to 6. The binder resin includes a urethane bond. A content of the binder resin in the water-based ink is greater than 1.0 mass %. The compound of formula (1) is preferably diethylene glycol monohexyl ether. The water-based ink preferably further includes an organic solvent having a solubility parameter (SP) value of 12 to 14.

A water-based ink includes a pigment, water, a penetrating agent, and a binder resin. The penetrating agent includes a compound of formula (1). x is greater than or equal to 6. The binder resin includes a urethane bond. A content of the binder resin in the water-based ink is greater than 1.0 mass %. The compound of formula (1) is preferably diethylene glycol monohexyl ether. The water-based ink preferably further includes an organic solvent having a solubility parameter (SP) value of 12 to 14.
