Provided is an aqueous ink that enables the recording of images having high optical density and excellent toughness and has excellent reliability. An aqueous ink for ink jet includes a pigment, a resin having an anionic group, a salt and a water-soluble organic solvent. The pigment is a self-dispersible pigment in which an anionic group is bonded to the particle surface of carbon black directly or through another atomic group, the resin has a weight-average molecular weight of 20,000 or less, the water-soluble organic solvent includes glycerol and an additional solvent other than glycerol, and the content (% by mass) of the additional solvent relative to the content (% by mass) of glycerol in terms of mass ratio is 0.6 times or less.

An article has a substrate and a pattern of a dry silver nanoparticle-containing composition comprising at least 20 weight % of one or more (a) polymers, that are cellulosic polymers; (d) silver nanoparticles having a mean particle size of 25-750 nm and present in an amount of 0.1-400 weight %, based on the total weight of the one or more (a) polymers; and (e) carbon black in an amount of 5-50 weight %, based on the total weight of the one or more (a) polymers. Such patterns can have multiple fine lines of any geometric arrangement. The article can have multiple patterns of this type, and each pattern can be electrolessly plated with a suitable metal such as copper to provide electrically-conductive product articles.

OIL-BASED INKJET INK

An oil-based inkjet ink is disclosed, the oil-based inkjet ink containing a pigment, a pigment dispersant and a non-aqueous solvent, wherein the pigment contains an acidic carbon black having a pH of 2 to 6, the non-aqueous solvent contains a modified silicone oil having a surface tension of not more than 27 mN/m, and an amount of the modified silicone oil, relative to a total mass of the oil-based inkjet ink, is at least 15% by mass but not more than 80% by mass.

An oil-based inkjet ink is disclosed, the oil-based inkjet ink containing a pigment, a pigment dispersant and a non-aqueous solvent, wherein the pigment contains an acidic carbon black having a pH of 2 to 6, the non-aqueous solvent contains a modified silicone oil having a surface tension of not more than 27 mN/m, and an amount of the modified silicone oil, relative to a total mass of the oil-based inkjet ink, is at least 15% by mass but not more than 80% by mass.
