Provided is an ink containing a self-dispersible pigment, an acrylic resin particle, a surfactant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water. The surfactant includes a fluorinated surfactant represented by Formula (1) and having an HLB value determined by a Griffin method of 11 or less. The water-soluble organic solvent includes at least one water-soluble organic solvent selected from a specific group, and the total content of the water-soluble organic solvents of the specific group is 4 times or more the total content of the water-soluble organic solvents other than the solvents of the specific group. The total content of the self-dispersible pigment and the acrylic resin particle is 10% by mass or less based on the total mass of the ink.

A novel aqueous emulsion solution is provided that can be used as a binder for forming a coating film suitable for an inkjet printing system. The present invention is an aqueous emulsion solution containing a polymer I and a polymer II mixed together therein, wherein the polymer I is an A-B block copolymer formed from 90 mass % or more of a methacrylate-based monomer, the A-B block copolymer neutralized with an alkali, a polymer block A is substantially water-insoluble and has a number average molecular weight of 1000 to 10000 and a polydispersity index of 1.5 or less, a polymer block B is synthesized using a monomer containing at least a methacrylic acid and has an acid value of 30 to 250 mgKOH/g, the A-B block copolymer has a number average molecular weight of 5000 to 20000, a content of the polymer block A of 5 to 60% in the A-B block copolymer, and a polydispersity index as a whole of 1.6 or less, the polymer II is a polymer obtained by polymerizing a hydrophobic addition polymerizable monomer and having a glass transition temperature of 70 C. or lower, and further the mass ratio of the polymer I and the polymer II is 5 to 80:95 to 20.

An ink set includes an ink A including water, an organic solvent A, a self-dispersible pigment, an anionic resin particle, and an amine compound having a boiling point of 120 degrees C.-200 degrees C. and an ink B including water, an organic solvent B, and a resin-coated pigment, wherein when the mass content of the amine compound is determined as 1, the mass content of the anionic resin particle is 1-100 and the mass content of the resin-coated pigment is 10-200, while the mass content of the anionic resin particle and the mass content of the resin-coated pigment are respectively based on the content per unit of mass of the ink A and the content per unit of mass of the ink B.
ACTIVE ENERGY RAY-CURABLE INKJET INK COMPOSITION
An ink composition used for active energy ray-curable inkjet printing which has excellent curability and abrasion resistance, and which does not easily cause curing wrinkles and has excellent initiator solubility, little odor and low viscosity, is shown. The ink composition contains a pigment, a polymerizable compound and a photopolyrnerization initiator, wherein the polymerizable compound comprises 80 wt % or more of aliphatic ethylenically polymerizable compounds based on a total weight of the polymerizable compound, wherein the aliphatic ethylenically polymerizable compounds comprise polyfunctional (meth)acrylates including at least 2-(2-vinyloxyethoxy)ethyl acrylate and dipropylene glycol diacrylate, the photopolymerization initiator comprises an acyl phosphine oxide, and an amount of the dipropylene glycol diacrylate is 16 wt % or more and an amount of the acyl phosphine oxide is 10 wt % or more with respect to a total weight of the inkjet ink composition.

An ink composition used for active energy ray-curable inkjet printing which has excellent curability and abrasion resistance, and which does not easily cause curing wrinkles and has excellent initiator solubility, little odor and low viscosity, is shown. The ink composition contains a pigment, a polymerizable compound and a photopolyrnerization initiator, wherein the polymerizable compound comprises 80 wt % or more of aliphatic ethylenically polymerizable compounds based on a total weight of the polymerizable compound, wherein the aliphatic ethylenically polymerizable compounds comprise polyfunctional (meth)acrylates including at least 2-(2-vinyloxyethoxy)ethyl acrylate and dipropylene glycol diacrylate, the photopolymerization initiator comprises an acyl phosphine oxide, and an amount of the dipropylene glycol diacrylate is 16 wt % or more and an amount of the acyl phosphine oxide is 10 wt % or more with respect to a total weight of the inkjet ink composition.

According to the invention, there is provided a recording method including adhering a reaction liquid to a recording region of a recording medium, the reaction liquid containing a reagent which causes aggregation or thickening of a colored ink composition; adhering the colored ink composition to the recording region to which the reaction liquid has been adhered, the colored ink composition containing a resin and a coloring material; and adhering a clear ink composition which contains a resin, to the recording region to which the reaction liquid has been adhered, in which a resin which causes a volume of a calcium acetate aqueous solution of 0.085 mol/kg to be equal to or smaller than 7 mL is contained as the resin contained in the colored ink composition, the calcium acetate aqueous solution being required for aggregating a liquid of 3 mL, which contains the resin so as to have a content of 1 mass %.
