Process for Producing Thin Coatings on Film
Conventional atomic layer deposition technology is modified to increase its cost-effective viability for use in producing thinly coated flexible packaging film. In one embodiment a thinly coated flexible substrate, e.g., a polyolefin film, is made by a process comprising the steps of: (A) Dissolving a self-limiting precursor in a solvent to form a solution of dissolved self-limiting precursor in the solvent, (B) Applying the solution to a facial surface of a flexible polymer film so that at least a portion of the dissolved self-limiting precursor attaches to the facial surface of the film and the solution is at least partially depleted of self-limiting precursor, and (C) Curing the attached self-limiting precursor by contact with oxygen
Method for the manufacturing of a polymer product with super- or highly hydrophobic characteristics, a product obtainable from said method and use thereof
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a polymer product with super- or highly hydrophobic characteristics, preferably in the form of a film. Also methods for the manufacturing of a laminate and a polymer coated paper or board product, respectively, both having said characteristics, are disclosed. The present invention also relates to products obtainable by said methods and uses thereof.

Printable Medium Including Glitter
A printable glitter paper includes a first adhesive layer onto which glitter has been deposited, and a second adhesive layer covering the first adhesive layer and glitter. A coating covers the second adhesive layer. Another adhesive layer covers the back side of the printable glitter paper. The printable glitter paper provides excellent retention of the glitter, and a high level of smoothness for high quality printing.

POLYMERIC COATINGS FOR METAL SURFACES
Polymer compositions for coating of metal surfaces including moieties that interact with a metal atom in the metal surface and optionally containing antifoulant moieties. These polymer compositions provide lubricious coatings for medical devices, anticorrosion coatings for metal components, and antifoulant coatings for marine components such as propellers. The polymer composition is synthesized in a safe manner in which the synthesis components are added to a synthesis vat and there is no need for filtration or removal of waste materials in any step including the consumer use. As such this invention provides an environmentally sound approach to composition synthesis, formulation development, and consumer use.
