Low Dust Additives Comprising Emulsified Powder For Joint Compounds And Joint Compounds Thereof
The present invention relates generally to wall repair compounds such as joint compounds, spackling compounds, and the like used to repair imperfections in walls or fill joints between adjacent wallboard panels. Particularly, the present invention relates to such a wall repair compound comprising a dust reduction additive that reduces the quantity of airborne dust generated when the hardened compound is sanded and also exhibits improved adhesive properties. The dust reduction additive also imparts adhesion to the wall repair compounds to which it is added, for example to a joint compound. The dust reduction additive is a powder prepared from colloidally-protected, wax-based microstructure dispersions.
Golf balls having silicone foam center
Multi-piece golf balls having a solid core made of a foamed silicone composition and a cover are provided. For example, three-piece, four-piece, and five-piece golf balls containing different core structures can be made. Preferably, a dual-core having has a silicone foam inner core (center) and surrounding silicone foam outer core layer is made. The core layers can have different hardness gradients. The silicone foam center and outer core layer have good thermal stability and durability and provide the ball with good resiliency.
BAKING PAPER COATED WITH A SILICONE-CONTAINING EMULSION
Baking papers suitable for a wide range of baked goods have a non-stick coating prepared by coating a suitable substrate with an aqueous coating composition comprising an EVA copolymer dispersion and a hydrosilylation curing silicone emulsion, wherein the EVA copolymer dispersion has an EVA copolymer particle size of less than 500 nm and is surfactant-stabilized.
AQUEOUS, POLYVINYL ALCOHOL STABILIZED VINYL ACETATE-ETHYLENE-COPOLYMER DISPERSION HAVING HIGH FILLER COMPATIBILITY FOR CARPET COATING COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to an aqueous vinyl acetate-ethylene-copolymer dispersion for carpet coating compositions, which is obtained by means of radical-initiated emulsion polymerization, in an aqueous medium, of vinyl acetate and ethylene and optionally additional ethylenically unsaturated comonomers, characterized in that, for stabilization of the dispersion, 5 to 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the comonomers, of one or a plurality of partially saponified and low-molecular polyvinyl alcohols having a hydrolysis degree of 80 to 95 mol % and a Höppler viscosity, in 4% aqueous solution, of 1 to 5 mPas (method according to Höppler at 20° C., DIN 53015) are contained.
CORE ELECTRIC WIRE FOR MULTICORE CABLE, AND MULTICORE CABLE
A core electric wire for a multicore cable that includes a conductor composed of a plurality of elemental wires twisted together and an insulating layer coating a circumference of the conductor, the insulating layer including a first component and a second component, the first component being high density polyethylene, the second component being at least one selected from the group consisting of a copolymer of ethylene and an α-olefin having a carbonyl group, and very-low density polyethylene, the first component having a content ratio of 10% by mass or more and 60% by mass or less to a total content of the polyethylene-based resin, the second component having a content ratio of 20% by mass or more and 80% by mass or less to the total content of the polyethylene-based resin.
GOLF BALLS HAVING LAYERS MADE OF SILICONE ELASTOMERS
Multi-layered golf balls having at least one layer made of a foamed silicone composition are provided. Multi-layered golf balls having at least one layer made of non-foamed silicone elastomer composition also are provided. For example, three-piece, four-piece, and five-piece golf balls containing different core and cover structures can be made. The foamed silicones have good thermal stability and durability without sacrificing resiliency. The non-foamed silicone elastomers have high elongation, tensile strength, chemical/fluid-resistance, and weatherability properties. These compositions can be used to form any layer, for example, core, intermediate, or cover, in the golf ball.
