SELF-STICK INSULATION AND METHODS
A method of using a self-stick insulation. The method includes providing a piece of insulation product with an adhesive coating. The adhesive coating includes polystyrene-maleic anhydride (SMA) and/or polyacrylic acid (PAA); an alcohol amine; and at least one of a polyvinyl alcohol and a starch. The adhesive coating is then activated with liquid water. Once the adhesive coating is active, the insulation product is attached to a surface with the adhesive coating.
Pressure-sensitive adhesive compound containing a cross-linked nanoparticle network, method of production and use thereof
Pressure-sensitive adhesive compound comprising at least two components forming one phase each, from which an IPN with at least two phases is produced by a cross-linking build-up reaction, the first phase having at least a softening point temperature of less than 23° C., and the second phase, after the build up reaction, having a softening temperature of greater than 23° C., the two phases having a morphology of a cross-linked nanoparticle network after the build-up reaction.

ADDITIVE COMPOSITION FOR AQUEOUS DISPERSIONS OF HYDROPHOBIC POLYMERS
Described are compositions comprising a defoamer mixture comprising mineral oil and hydrophobic particles such as for example wax particles; di- or monoalkyl sulfosuccinate having at least 9 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and certain ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymers. Also described are aqueous dispersions of hydrophobic polymers comprising these compositions and the use of the aqueous polymer dispersions as an adhesive, for example for producing composite films from transparent polymer films.
PROTECTIVE BARRIER COATING TO IMPROVE BOND INTEGRITY IN DOWNHOLE EXPOSURES
A system for protecting a bond line may comprise a downhole tool and a rubber material bonded to the downhole tool to form the bond line. The downhole tool may further include a barrier configured to be applied to the rubber material and the ridged substrate to encapsulate the bond line. A method for protecting a bond line may comprise attaching at least a portion of a rubber to a downhole tool to form the bond line and applying a barrier to the rubber material and the downhole tool to encapsulate the bond line.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROCARBON RESINS AND HYDROGENATION PRODUCTS THEREOF
In a method for the manufacture of a hydrocarbon resin made of at least one cyclic diolefin component and at least one ethylenically unsaturated aromatic component having 8 to 13 carbon atoms, the monomer mixture is heated to a polymerisation temperature of at least 180° C. at a heating speed of 0.5 to 10° C./second to obtain a hydrocarbon resin with a reduced amount of by-products, wherein the monomer mixture is essentially liquid in a single phase during the heating to at least 180° C. and during polymerisation, and the subsequently hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin has good compatibility with other components of hot-melt adhesives.
