Gas barrier adhesive sheet, method for producing same, electronic member, and optical member
Provided is a gas barrier pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet having at least one gas barrier layer and at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having a storage modulus at 23 C. of 1.510.sup.4 to 1.010.sup.7 Pa, and the gas barrier pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet not including a base layer. Also, provided is the following: a gas barrier pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet that makes it possible to easily provide the adherend with a gas barrier capability without significantly increasing the thickness of the gas barrier pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, does not show delamination (separation) at the interface between the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and another layer even when subjected to high-temperature/high-humidity conditions, and exhibits excellent bendability, a method for producing the same, an electronic member that includes the gas barrier pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, and an optical member that includes the gas barrier pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet.
Joining Dissimilar Materials Using an Epoxy Resin Composition
An epoxy resin composition is disclosed for joining dissimilar materials. The identified epoxy resin compositions can fee used to seal metallic and non-metallic components of a capacitor. Specifically the epoxy resin composition can be applied to joints between a non-metallic capacitor bushing and a metallic tank cover and metallic terminal cap. Once the epoxy resin composition is cored, it can provide a seal that can withstand the stresses and environmental conditions to which a capacitor is subjected.
DECORATIVE FILM FOR EXTERIORS
The decorative film for exteriors of an embodiment includes a fluororesin-based film layer and a colored adhesive layer, wherein the colored adhesive layer contains a carboxy group-containing (meth)acrylic polymer, an amino group-containing (meth)acrylic polymer, and from 5 mass % to 50 mass % of titanium oxide based on mass of the colored adhesive layer; the fluororesin-based film layer includes a first layer containing a vinylidene fluoride-based resin and a second layer containing a methacrylate-based resin; the second layer of the fluororesin-based film layer is in contact with the colored adhesive layer; and the decorative film for exteriors has a thickness of 250 m or less, and a total heat release for 20 minutes after start of heating is 8 MJ/m.sup.2 or lower as measured in accordance with the ISO 5660-1 cone calorimeter heat release test.
Dynamically crosslinked tough adhesive with recyclability
A crosslinked adhesive composition comprising: (i) a polymer; (ii) solid particles embedded within the polymer; and (iii) a multiplicity of boronate linkages crosslinking between the polymer and solid particles, wherein the boronate linkages have the formula ##STR00001##
wherein the polymer and particles are connected to each other through the boronate linkages, and the crosslinked adhesive composition has an ability to bond surfaces and a further ability to thermally debond and rebond the surfaces. Also described herein is a method of bonding first and second surfaces together, the method comprising placing the above-described crosslinked adhesive composition onto the first surface and pressing the second surface onto the crosslinked adhesive composition on the first surface.
DYNAMICALLY CROSSLINKED TOUGH ADHESIVE WITH RECYCLABILITY
A crosslinked adhesive composition comprising: (i) a polymer; (ii) solid particles embedded within the polymer; and (iii) a multiplicity of boronate linkages crosslinking between the polymer and solid particles, wherein the boronate linkages have the formula
