The invention is directed to a method for using a polymer composition for connecting a first object to a second object, wherein the method comprises, the step of applying a polymer composition to at least part of the surface of at least one of the first object or second object; connecting the first object and the second object at the surface where the polymer composition is applied and irradiating the polymer composition using UV-radiation over a first time period, obtaining a UV radiated polymer composition; irradiating the UV radiated polymer composition with gamma-radiation over a second time period obtaining a gamma radiated polymer. The invention also relates to a system of a plastic object and a metal object connected by the method of the invention. In addition, the invention relates to a cosmetic method for anti-aging skin treatment wherein the method comprises the steps of: subcutaneously administering of an effective amount a of a dermal filler or Botulinum toxin to an area of skin, preferably the face and/or neck area, wherein the administering is performed by a syringe and a hypodermic needle or cannula of the invention.
Silicone and polymer substrate composite materials, methods, and uses of the same
Composite materials and methods of producing the same are provided. In some embodiments, the composite materials can comprise a polymer substrate, an intermediary material, such as a metal or oxide, mechanically attached onto the polymer substrate, and an elastomer bonded to the polymer substrate on the side of the polymer substrate comprising the intermediary materials. The elastomer can be bonded to the polymer substrate irreversibly, where the elastomer and the polymer substrate cannot be separated at their interface without breaking either the elastomer or the polymer substrate. In some embodiments, a primer and/or an epoxy can also be used. Uses of material sputtering or sputtered materials are also provided to bond a parylene substrate and silicone elastomer, or to enhance the relative strength of the bonding between the two. In addition, composite materials, and the use thereof, involving a parylene substrate, an elastomer receptacle, and liquid silicone are provided.
Adhesive articles permitting damage free removal
The present disclosure provides adhesive articles that can be removed from surfaces without damage by having reduced or eliminated contribution of a core backing to peel force generated by the adhesive during removal. In some instances, this can be accomplished by a core that loses structural integrity in a direction normal to a plane defined by a major surface. In other instances, the contribution is reduced by compromising the interface between the core and a peelable adhesive layer.
THERMOPLASTIC LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer (TLCP) molded body including a thermoplastic polymer capable of forming an optically anisotropic melt phase. The TLCP molded body includes an adherend portion in at least a part of the TLCP molded body. The adherend portion has a surface satisfying: a ratio <C—O>/<COO> of 1.5 or greater in which the <C—O> represents a proportion of a peak area of [C—O bond] to a C(1s) peak area, and the <COO> represents a proportion of a peak area of [COO bond] based on the C(1s) peak area; and a ratio <C═O>/<COO> of 0.10 or higher in which the <C═O> represents a proportion of a peak area of [C═O bond] based on the C(1s) peak area, and the <COO> represents the proportion of the peak area of the [COO bond] based on the C(1s) peak area in a result of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING DISPLAY
According to various embodiments of the present invention, an electronic device can comprise: a case comprising a first plate oriented in the first direction, a second plate oriented in the second direction opposite to the first direction, and a side member surrounding at least a part of the space between the first and second plates; a display which comprises a window and which is disposed on the first plate of the case; an adhesive material for bonding the display to the case; a first loading surface of the case on which at least a part of the display is loaded; a second loading surface of the case to which the window is attached; at least one marking part formed on the first loading surface; and at least one escape groove formed on the second loading surface. Other additional embodiments are possible.
Glass/resin composite structure and method for manufacturing same
A composite structure with high pressure resistance that is suitable for a flow channel is produced by reducing the number of components while maintaining the excellent chemical resistance and high stress tolerance inherent to a glass substrate and a resin substrate. A glass substrate surface is modified with a hydrolyzable silicon compound, and the glass substrate is brought into contact with the resin substrate. Subsequently, the contact surface between the glass substrate and the resin substrate is heated to a temperature from the glass transition temperature to the pyrolysis temperature of the resin substrate, eliminating gaps between the glass substrate and the resin substrate to bring them into close contact with each other, and causing chemical binding or anchor effects between the glass substrate and the resin substrate via the hydrolyzable silicon compound. Thus, the glass substrate and the resin substrate are firmly fixed to each other.
Blade comprising a blade body made of composite material and a leading-edge shield
The invention relates to comprising a blade body (9) made of composite material having a polymer matrix reinforced by fibers and a leading edge shield (10) made of material having greater ability to withstand point impacts than the composite material of the blade body. The leading edge shield (10) is assembled on the blade body (9) by means of a first adhesive (16) and a second adhesive (17), both adhesives (16, 17) being deposited between the blade body (9) and the leading edge shield (10). Both adhesives (16, 17) form respective continuous films between the blade body (9) and the leading edge shield (10).
Method for connecting two joining elements
The present invention relates to a method for connecting two joining elements, these elements being connected by means of a thermally activatable adhesive with a flat heating element arranged therein, by suitable heating of the adhesive. The invention also relates to an assembly produced in this way from two joining elements and to an arrangement designed for carrying out a corresponding method.
