COMPOSITE OF METAL AND RESIN
A metal article characterized by including a metal substrate, a resin substrate, and a compound layer for bonding the metal substrate and resin substrate; the compound layer being a first compound layer including a first compound having a nitrogen-containing functional group and a silanol group, and a second compound which is an alkane-type amine-based silane coupling agent, and the first compound not containing sulfur atoms.
BACK GRINDING TAPE
The present invention relates to a back grinding tape including a polymer substrate and an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer includes a (meth)acrylate resin containing 30 to 60% by weight of a repeating unit derived from a monomer or an oligomer having a glass transition temperature of 0 C. or higher, and wherein the adhesive layer has a glass transition temperature of 20 C. to 10 C., and a method of grinding wafers using the back grinding tape.
Glass/resin composite structure and method for manufacturing same
A composite structure with high pressure resistance that is suitable for a flow channel is produced by reducing the number of components while maintaining the excellent chemical resistance and high stress tolerance inherent to a glass substrate and a resin substrate. A glass substrate surface is modified with a hydrolyzable silicon compound, and the glass substrate is brought into contact with the resin substrate. Subsequently, the contact surface between the glass substrate and the resin substrate is heated to a temperature from the glass transition temperature to the pyrolysis temperature of the resin substrate, eliminating gaps between the glass substrate and the resin substrate to bring them into close contact with each other, and causing chemical binding or anchor effects between the glass substrate and the resin substrate via the hydrolyzable silicon compound. Thus, the glass substrate and the resin substrate are firmly fixed to each other.
SURFACE PROTECTION FILM
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a surface protection film which provides an excellent writing sensation when a touch pen is used thereon and excellent scratch resistance against a touch pen. As a solution, provided is a surface protection film which has on the outermost surface thereof a protection layer formed of a polyurethane, wherein the polyurethane has an international rubber hardness degree (IRHD) of 87.0-98.0 and a tan peak value of 0.6 or more.
STICKY CLEANER
Provided is a sticky cleaner whose adhesive face can be easily renewed and whish is less susceptible to roll-loosening. The sticky cleaner provided by this invention comprises a PSA tape having an adhesive face on the first face of a substrate. The PSA tape forms a PSA tape roll wound with the adhesive face on the outside. On the first face of the substrate, the PSA tape comprises a first layer formed of a PSA and a second layer formed of an acrylic viscoelastic material. The adhesive face comprises first sections where the first layer is exposed and second sections where the second layer is exposed. The second sections protrude further out of the PSA tape roll relative to the first sections. The PSA tape roll shows an unwinding force F.sub.0 at 0 C. and an unwinding force F.sub.30 at 30 C.
In-line production of linerless labels
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of labeling a plurality of products includes coating a pressure sensitive adhesive to a roll of face stock, the roll of face stock configured to be converted to a plurality of individual labels aligned in a single lane; singulating an individual label from the roll of face stock; and applying the individual label to a product of the plurality of products, wherein the coating, singulating and applying are conducted sequentially in a single continuous operation with a single continuous web of material.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR COVERING AND SEALING GAPS BETWEEN ADJACENT SURFACES
Devices and methods covering a gap between an edge of a surface and a body exposed through an opening in the surface defined by the edge. Such a device has at least first and second sections formed of different materials. The device is positioned so that the second section is over a portion of the surface adjacent the opening and the first section extends over the gap and the opening. After removing a release liner releasably secured to a backside of the first section to cover an adhesive, portions of the first section are bent and molded to plastically conform the portions to the edge of the surface while the second section remains over the portion of the surface adjacent the opening. The body is then contacted with the backside of the first section such that the backside of the first section is adhered to the body with the adhesive.

Member surface treatment method and method for producing multilayer member
Provided is a member surface treatment method for treating a surface of a member containing a crystallizable thermoplastic resin by a dry treatment, wherein the dry treatment is performed so as to satisfy the following conditions X and Y. Condition X: .sup.d/.sup.d0 is not less than 1.0 and less than 1.4. Condition Y: .sup.p/.sup.p0 is not less than 1.2 and less than 40. .sup.d0 is a non-polar component of surface free energy of the surface before the dry treatment, .sup.d is a non-polar component of surface free energy of the surface after the dry treatment, .sup.p0 is a polar component of surface free energy of the surface before the dry treatment, and .sup.p is a polar component of surface free energy of the surface after the dry treatment.
Plasticity induced bonding
Methods and apparatuses for bonding polymeric parts are disclosed. Specifically, in one embodiment, the polymeric parts are bonded by plastically deforming them against each other while they are below the glass transition temperatures.
