DOUBLE-FACED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET AND USE THEREOF
Provided is a double-faced PSA sheet having excellent detergent resistance. The PSA sheet according to this invention comprises a PSA layer and is adhesive on both faces. The PSA sheet shows a push-peel strength of 30 N/cm.sup.2 or greater after a detergent immersion test involving immersion in a standard detergent at 40° C. for 24 hours. It also has an adhesive strength retention rate of 50% or higher, determined as the ratio of push-peel strength P2 after the detergent immersion test to push-peel strength P1 before the detergent immersion test.
Separator
A separator containing a substrate and a release layer formed on at least one side of the substrate wherein the separator shows a strain of not more than 7% when a load of 5N/20 mm is applied for one minute in the pulling direction, and when the substrate is cut in half in the thickness direction to divide the separator into two, an apparent elastic modulus in the pulling direction of one of the divided separators is larger than an apparent elastic modulus in the pulling direction of the other divided separator.
RUBBER-BASED MULTILAYER PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to a multilayer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly comprising a polymeric foam layer and a first pressure sensitive adhesive layer adjacent to the polymeric foam layer, wherein first the pressure sensitive adhesive comprises: a) a multi-arm block copolymer of the formula Q.sub.n-Y, wherein: (i) Q represents an arm of the multi-arm block copolymer and each arm independently has the formula G-R, (ii) n represents the number of arms and is a whole number of at least 3, and (iii) Y is the residue of a multifunctional coupling agent, wherein each R is a rubbery block comprising a polymerized conjugated diene, a hydrogenated derivative of a polymerized conjugated diene, or combinations thereof; and each G is a glassy block comprising a polymerized monovinyl aromatic monomer; b) a polymeric plasticizer having a weight average molecular weight Mw of at least 10,000 g/mol; c) at least one hydrocarbon tackifier, wherein the hydrocarbon tackifier(s) have a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) value of less than 1000 ppm, when measured by thermogravimetric analysis according to the weight loss test methods described in the experimental section; and d) optionally, a linear block copolymer of the formula L-(G).sub.m, wherein L is a rubbery block comprising a polymerized olefin, a polymerized conjugated diene, a hydrogenated derivative of a polymerized conjugated diene, or any combinations thereof; and wherein m is 1 or 2;
wherein the multilayer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly is obtained by hotmelt co-extrusion of the polymeric foam layer and the first pressure sensitive adhesive layer.
The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such a multilayer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly and uses thereof.
FOAM ADHESION PROMOTION
Methods for forming a TPE-skinned composite include forming a skin layer having at least one surface and having a thermoplastic elastomer and an adhesive promoting agent; providing a foam layer; and forming the foam layer onto the said surface of the skin layer to form the TPE-skinned composite. Optional additives such as an organo-silane compound may be added to further improve the adhesion between the skin layer and the foam. The present disclosure also provides a TPE-skinned composite including a skin layer having a thermoplastic elastomer present in an amount of greater than 90 wt. %; and an adhesive promoting agent present in an amount of from 0.5 wt. % to 10 wt. % based upon the total weight of the skin layer.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET
Provided is a PSA sheet with which good air release properties can be obtained while whose quality can be further enhanced. This invention provides a PSA sheet comprising a substrate film and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the substrate film. The PSA sheet further comprises a coating layer partially covering the PSA layer surface. The PSA sheet's adhesive is formed of the PSA layer and the coating layer. The coating layer has a linearly extending part running from one edge to another edge of the adhesive face. The linearly extending part has a first face forming the PSA sheet's adhesive face and a second face located on the PSA layer side relative to the first face. The second face of the linearly extending part forms an overall gently curved line in a cross section perpendicularly intersecting the length direction of the linearly extending part.
COMPOSITE SYSTEM WITH GENTLY ADHERING LINER MATERIAL
A double-sided adhesive tape having a heat-activatable adhesive layer protected with an interliner, in order to allow such tapes to be guided stably over cutting and winding units and also to be stably stored and transported, has a composite system comprising: an adhesive tape (A) comprising: a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and a heat-activatable adhesive layer; a release liner situated on the pressure sensitive adhesive layer of the tape (A); and an adhesive tape (B) comprising: a carrier layer, a release layer on one side of the carrier layer, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer on the side of the carrier layer opposite the release layer and in direct contact with the heat-activatable adhesive layer of tape (A).
Also disclosed is a method for producing a composite system of this kind, and the specific use of the tape (B).
ADHESIVE AGENT, ADHESIVE TAPE, AND METHOD FOR AFFIXING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS OR VEHICLE-MOUNTED COMPONENTS
The present invention aims to provide an adhesive capable of exhibiting excellent adhesive force while having a high bio-derived carbon content, an adhesive tape containing the adhesive, and a method for fixing an electronic device component or an in-vehicle component. Provided is an adhesive containing a (meth)acrylic copolymer that contains 48% by weight or more of structural units derived from a monomer A of a formula (1) containing bio-derived carbon and/or a monomer B of a formula (2) containing bio-derived carbon, and that has a glass transition temperature of −20° C. or lower.

The invention relates to the use of aqueous dispersion adhesives on the basis of a mixture of aqueous polyurethane or polyurethane-urea dispersions for bonding foam substrates according to the spray coagulation method.
Polymer foam adhesive tape and pressure-sensitive type touch panel comprising the same
A polymer foam adhesive tape including: a substrate film; a polymer foam layer provided on one surface of the substrate film; a first adhesive layer provided on the polymer foam layer; and a second adhesive layer provided on the other surface of the substrate film, in which the polymer foam adhesive tape has a minimum compression load of 30 g to 300 g, a compression rate of the polymer foam adhesive tape is increased in proportion to a linear function according to an increase in pressure when pressure, which is equal to or more than the minimum compression load, is applied, and a thickness recovery rate of the polymer foam adhesive tape after pressure is removed is increased in proportion to a linear function as time passes.
ADHESIVE PRIMER FOR FLEXOGRAPHIC PLATE MOUNTING TAPE
Primer layers for adhesion of pressure sensitive adhesive materials to substrates comprise a cured primer which is the reaction product of an epoxy resin and a polyamine. The epoxy resin may be an aromatic epoxy resin. The polyamine may be a polymer such as polyethylenimine (PEI) or polyvinylamine (PVA). Two-layer constructions comprise the primer layer according to the present disclosure and a substrate layer, which may be directly bound to the primer layer. The substrate layer may comprise one or more polyester polymers, may comprise one or more polymers comprising aromatic groups, and/or may comprise polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Tapes comprise the two-layer construction according to the present disclosure and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, which may be directly bound to the primer layer. The tape may comprise a second pressure sensitive adhesive layer borne on the opposite face of the tape and optionally a foam layer.
