The invention relates to a hot melt adhesive composition comprising from 5 to 35% by weight of at least one styrene block polymeric component, from 40 to 65% by weight of at least one tackifying resin, from 15 to 40% by weight of at least one plasticizer, from 3 to 15% by weight of at least one polyolefin wax having an enthalpy of crystallization of at least 45 J/g, and from 0 to 5% by weight of at least one stabilizer, based on the total weight of the hot melt adhesive composition. The invention also relates to a process for preparing such a hot melt adhesive composition, to an article comprising such a hot melt adhesive composition and to the use of such a hot melt adhesive composition for adhering a hygiene disposable article on a fabric.

HOT MELT ADHESIVE FORMULATIONS FOR FIBROUS SUBSTRATES
20250236769 · 2025-07-24 ·

The present invention discloses novel hot melt adhesive formulations which exhibit an exceptionally good adhesion on fibrous substrates, both woven and non-woven ones. Furthermore the present adhesives exhibit an adhesion on said substrates which continues to be surprisingly high even when those fibrous substrates are made of very hydrophilic fibres, as cotton and other similar vegetable fibres, and even when said hydrophilic fibers, during their use e.g. inside a hygienic absorbent article, contact water and absorb large amounts of water or of other aqueous fluids, e.g. urine or blood, with an ensuing relevant swelling of the same fibres, said relevant swelling being capable of strongly weakening and even of destroying and mechanically breaking the adhesive bond, already formed under dry conditions.

HIGH-PILE PATCHES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
20250313726 · 2025-10-09 ·

Patches and methods of forming patches to repair fabric are described. A method for producing adhesive patches includes: (1) providing a fabric layer and an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer comprises a low melt adhesive that activates at room temperature; (2) laminating the adhesive layer to the fabric layer to form a laminated structure, wherein the laminating is selected from the group consisting of bench laminating, roll laminating, and pressing the layers together with friction; (3) allowing the laminated structure to cure, wherein the curing comprises applying warm rollers under pressure to the laminated structure, and wherein the laminated structure is allowed to set for a predetermined time after lamination to let the adhesive set; and (4) laser cutting the cured laminated structure into individual patches using an optical laser head.

Bonded object, and method for manufacturing bonded object

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a bonded object or a method for manufacturing a bonded object, the bonded object having bases bonded therein while placing an adhesive layer in between, the adhesive layer being obtained from a fluororubber composition that contains at least one fluororubber selected from fluoroelastomer (FKM) and perfluoroelastomer (FFKM), and has a Mooney viscosity (ML 1+10) at 121 C., measured in accordance with ASTM D1646, of 80 to 115.

EMULSION INCLUDING ACRYLIC POLYMER PARTICLES AND RELATED PROCESSES

An emulsion includes water, an emulsifier, and acrylic polymer particles dispersed in the water. The acrylic polymer particles include monomer units of an alkyl acrylate, alkyl methacrylate, or combination thereof, in which alkyl has at least eight carbon atoms; at least one percent by weight acid-functional monomer units, based on the total weight of the monomer units in the acrylic polymer particles; monomer units of a high T.sub.g monomer comprising at least one of t-octyl acrylamide, t-butyl methacrylate, t-butyl acrylate, isobornyl acrylate, or isobornyl methacrylate; and a chain terminal group having at least four carbon atoms and a thioether group. In some embodiments, the emulsion provides an adhesive able to hold a pinch bond in a foam cube within one minute of spraying the emulsion. A process for making the composition and a process for making a bonded article using the composition are also described.
