COMPOSITE LAMINATE FLAME BARRIER FOR A THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC INSULATION BLANKET

A multilayer laminate comprising in order, a polymeric film layer capable of withstanding a temperature of at least 200 C for at least 10 min, an adhesive layer having an areal weight of from 2 to 40 gsm capable of activation at a temperature of from 75 to 200 degrees C. and an inorganic refractory layer wherein the refractory layer comprises platelets in an amount at least 85% by weight with a dry areal weight of 15 to 50 gsm and has a residual moisture content of no greater than 10 percent by weight.

PRE-PASTED WALL COVER AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
20220267648 · 2022-08-25 ·

A wall covering comprising a planar substrate having a front and a back facing opposite the front and an adhesive layer that covers the back of the substrate. The adhesive layer includes a separate polymer layer, formed by a polyvinyl alcohol polymer. Wall covering for example in the form of a pre-pasted paper is readily reactivated when wet, and exhibits no blocking, while having properties of sliding, adhesion, and stripability.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH A HYDROPHILIC HOT MELT ADHESIVE
20220265892 · 2022-08-25 ·

Absorbent articles, such as diapers or sanitary napkins, comprising a hydrophilic hot melt adhesive with water wetting properties. The hydrophilic hot melt adhesive comprises an ethylene copolymer selected from the group consisting of ethylene vinyl acetate, ethylene n-butyl acrylate, ethylene octene, ethylene propylene, ethylene butene propylene, and mixtures thereof and a nonionic, fatty alcohol ethoxylate surfactant. The hot melt adhesive is particularly suitable for bonding a nonwoven to another component of the article.

Compositions and articles comprising complexes of 1-methylcycloproprene and alpha-cyclodextrin

Compositions comprising complexes of 1-methylcyclopropene and α-cyclodextrin, and articles including the composition, are provided. Methods for using the compositions and articles in delaying the maturation of fruits, vegetables, and plants are also provided.

ADHESIVE FORMULATIONS

An adhesive formulation such as a hot melt adhesive or a pressure sensitive adhesive is provided comprising 5 to 98% (by weight) biodegradable substantially non-crystalline mcl-PHA. The mcl-PHA may be cured with a peroxide curing agent. The adhesive formulation may include an additional biodegradable polymer, or a non-biodegradable thermoplastic elastomer. Hot melt adhesives comprising significant amounts of biodegradable mcl-PHA, waxes, and tackifiers are also provided.

Method of joining polymeric biomaterials

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of joining objects of hydrophilic polymeric biomaterials. In the method, an ionic liquid is applied onto the surfaces of the objects; the surfaces are pressed together; and the ionic liquid is removed. The method produces a product that can consist to 100% of biomaterial, with no synthetic polymer or chemicals remaining in the product.
