IMAGING TABLE FOR GREATER ACCESS TO PATIENT REGION OF INTEREST
A radiological imaging system includes a gantry that defines an analysis zone, a source housed within the gantry, and a detector housed within the gantry. A part of a patient is placed in the analysis zone. The source emits radiation that passes through the part of the patient; the detector receives the radiation. The system is configured to receive the patient alternatively in at least two of the following arrangements: having a stationary bed and a translatable gantry, having a bed with a table top that translates through the analysis zone along a main direction, and accepting the patient in a seating or reclining apparatus.
Medical imaging system and methods
A mobile medical imaging device that allows for multiple support structures, such as a tabletop or a seat, to be attached, and in which the imaging gantry is indexed to the patient by translating up and down the patient axis. In one embodiment, the imaging gantry can translate, rotate and/or tilt with respect to a support base, enabling imaging in multiple orientations, and can also rotate in-line with the support base to facilitate easy transport and/or storage of the device. The imaging device can be used in, for example, x-ray computed tomography (CT) and/or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications.
X-RAY DETECTION UNIT FOR WHEELCHAIR, AND X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, an X-ray detection unit for a wheelchair includes a container and an attachment portion coupled with the container. The container is configured to contain a flat X-ray detector. The attachment portion is configured to be detachably mounted to a part of the wheelchair in which a subject is seated, so that a detection plane of the X-ray detector in the container faces the subject.
Apparatus, system and method for controlling medical equipment
An apparatus for controlling medical equipment is provided. The apparatus includes patient positioning equipment, and a control system coupled to the patient positioning equipment. The control system is configured to control a function of the medical equipment.
PROSTATE IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD
According to an example aspect is an imaging system for tomographic imaging of a body portion of a patient after administration of a radiopharmaceutical, the system comprising: a surface for supporting the body portion of the patient. The system further comprises a detector assembly positioned proximate the body portion. The detector assembly comprises at least one solid-state detecting unit, which itself comprises a nuclear detector and a collimator defining a solid collection angle. The system further comprises a processor for receiving collected data from the detector assembly.
Patient positioning apparatus with adjustable and lockable back rest
A patient positioning apparatus for an X-ray dental imaging system includes a head rest and a chair separate from and spaced from the head rest. The chair has a seat portion and a back rest coupled to the seat portion. The chair further includes a locking system that locks a position of the back rest relative to the seat portion.
X-ray imaging apparatus
An X-ray imaging apparatus includes a drive unit configured to move an imager in a direction opposite to a side on which an obstacle is detected by a sensor when an operator causes the sensor to react while operating a permission button.
Three Dimensional X-Ray Imaging System
Three dimensional x-ray imaging systems are described in this application. In particular, this application describes a 3D dental intra-oral imaging (3DIO) system that collects a series of 2D image projections. The x-ray imaging system comprises a housing, an x-ray source attached to a articulating or motion gantry configured to move the source within the housing to multiple positions, an x-ray detector array located on an opposite side of an object to be imaged from the x-ray source, where the detector array is synchronized with the x-ray source to capture 2D images of the object when the x-ray source is located in multiple imaging positions, and a processor configured to accept the 2D images and reconstruct a 3D image. The multiple imaging positions can be located on a plane substantially parallel to the x-ray detector array. Other embodiments are described.
Radiation Device for Patients
A patient radiation device has a patient positioning device with a patient receptacle, wherein the patient positioning device is able to carry out at least a horizontal movement of the patient receptacle. A radiation source is provided. An imaging device with an imaging unit is provided to produce an image in an imaging plane. A linear movement device is provided to move the imaging unit along a vertical movement axis. The imaging unit is able to perform a rotation about a horizontally arranged axis of rotation so that imaging can be performed on patients that are seated and on patients that are lying on a table.
Patient support apparatus with six degrees of freedom
A patient support apparatus including a patient couch and a single supporting pillar on which the patient couch is arranged in an adjustable and cantilevered manner, is provided. The apparatus includes a first rotary frame and a second rotary frame. The first rotary frame rotates about a first axis and encloses the supporting pillar. The second rotary frame rotates about a second axis, rotatably encloses the first rotary frame, and is fixed to the patient couch. The first rotary frame and the second rotary frame form a gimbal mount for the patient couch.
