Dental imaging apparatus with an integrated movable seat arrangement
The invention concerns an extra-oral dental imaging apparatus for obtaining a radiographic image of a patient, the apparatus comprising:a support frame,a gantry that supports an x-ray source and at least one x-ray sensor in correspondence with the x-ray source, the gantry being movable relative to the support frame, wherein the apparatus further comprises a seat arrangement that is connected to the support frame and that is movable between at least two distinct positions: a working position in which the seat arrangement is located in a working area under the gantry, at least one rest position in which the seat arrangement is located away from the working area so as to leave clear the working area under the gantry.
X-ray computed tomography imaging apparatus and display apparatus
According to one embodiment, an X-ray computed tomography imaging apparatus includes an X-ray source, an X-ray detector, a gantry, a column, and a display. The display configured to display, on the floor surface, a graphic corresponding to one of a range in which a field of view formed by the X-ray source and the X-ray detector is projected onto the floor surface from a vertical direction of the gantry and a range in which an outer edge of the bore is projected onto the floor surface from the vertical direction of the gantry.
Vertical moving horizontal aperture ring positron emission tomography scanner and chair with stationary cycle for stressing the patient's heart
A positron emission tomography (PET) scanner in which a horizontal detector ring is arranged to be moved vertically up and down by a lifting mechanism, thereby eliminating the need for a patient to be in a supine position when performing PET or other types of image scanning.
Medical Imaging System And Methods
A mobile medical imaging device that allows for multiple support structures, such as a tabletop or a seat, to be attached, and in which the imaging gantry is indexed to the patient by translating up and down the patient axis. In one embodiment, the imaging gantry can translate, rotate and/or tilt with respect to a support base, enabling imaging in multiple orientations, and can also rotate in-line with the support base to facilitate easy transport and/or storage of the device. The imaging device can be used in, for example, x-ray computed tomography (CT) and/or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications.
Three dimensional X-ray imaging system
Three dimensional x-ray imaging systems are described in this application. In particular, this application describes a 3D dental intra-oral imaging (3DIO) system that collects a series of 2D image projections. The x-ray imaging system comprises a housing, an x-ray source attached to a articulating or motion gantry configured to move the source within the housing to multiple positions, an x-ray detector array located on an opposite side of an object to be imaged from the x-ray source, where the detector array is synchronized with the x-ray source to capture 2D images of the object when the x-ray source is located in multiple imaging positions, and a processor configured to accept the 2D images and reconstruct a 3D image. The multiple imaging positions can be located on a plane substantially parallel to the x-ray detector array. Other embodiments are described.
Reclining patient chair for nuclear medicine system
A patient support for a nuclear medicine imaging system has a base a joint and a chair. The chair can pivot or rotate about the joint. This allows the patient chair to assume a patient loading and a patient imaging position with respect to the detectors of the imaging system. Furthermore, the chair is adjustable to improve the ability of a patient region to be covered by the filed of view of the detectors.
Medical image capturing apparatus, method for operating medical image capturing apparatus, and operation program for medical image capturing apparatus
A CT apparatus includes an annular frame that rotates around a subject positioned in a bore, three columns that hold the frame to be rotatable and movable up and down in a vertical, an elevation mechanism that moves up and down the frame, and a rotation mechanism that rotates the frame. A radiation source and a radiation detector are attached to the frame at positions facing each other. The frame has a width smaller than a width of the radiation source and the radiation detector in a height direction over a whole periphery. An imaging controller performs control for operating the elevation mechanism in response to a return instruction from an operator to move the frame to a retreat height position set at a position of a highest point in an elevation range of the frame on an upper end side of the columns. The imaging controller performs control for operating the rotation mechanism in response to the return instruction from the operator to rotate the frame to a position of 60? that is a first rotation position where the radiation source overlaps the columns.
APPARATUS TO SECURE FIELD GENERATING DEVICE TO CHAIR
An apparatus includes a body, an upright member, a frame, and a plurality of field generating elements. The body is configured to be positioned between a patient's back and a backrest of a chair. The upright member extends upwardly from the body. The frame has a curved configuration configured to partially surround a patient's head. The field generating elements are configured to generate an electromagnetic field around a patient's head partially surrounded by the frame.
Medical x-ray imaging apparatus
The invention relates to a medical x-ray imaging apparatus which is specifically designed for enabling three-dimensional imaging of relatively small volumes from the area of extremities of a patient. The apparatus includes a support construction (1) supporting a substantially ring-shaped structure (2), an O-arm (2), which in turn supports imaging means (21, 22) and which O-arm (2) is arranged with an examination opening (4). The imaging means (21, 22) are arranged movable within the O-arm (2). A positioning support (8) is arranged in connection with said examination opening (4) whose location with respect to the O-arm (2) is arranged adjustable. Preferably the apparatus comprises a control system comprising a control function for moving the positioning support (8) in a first direction at a first speed within the area of the examination opening (4) and for simultaneously moving the O-arm (2) with respect to its support construction (1) substantially at said first speed in substantially opposite direction than said first direction.
Integrated tomography—cancer treatment apparatus and method of use thereof
The invention relates to a method and apparatus for generation of two-dimensional images using X-rays, proton tomography, and/or carbon ion tomography to form one or more independent and/or integrated three-dimensional images of a tumor, where the proton and carbon cation beams use common elements of a tumor treatment beam, such as an injector, accelerator, and/or beam transport device. A previously collected image of the tumor and/or a current/real-time image control slice is used in control of a multi-axes and/or a multi-field tumor irradiation system for cancer irradiation.
