COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY APPARATUS
An imaging apparatus for use with an imaging device in order to image a subject. The imaging device includes an annular gantry having an opening and a table to accommodate the subject or a portion thereof for imaging. The imaging apparatus includes a platform and a positioning device. The imaging device is mounted to the platform. The annular gantry is in a fixed position relative to the platform. The table is horizontally displaceable relative to the annular gantry. The positioning device supports the platform and is configured to horizontally displace the platform relative to a supporting surface for the subject. The positioning device is configured to position the platform with the imaging device in at least one operational state in such a way that, during a relative movement of the table with respect to the annular gantry, the table remains stationary relative to the supporting surface.
System and method for subject shape estimation
A medical imaging system is provided. Imaging detector columns are installed in a gantry to receive imaging information about a subject. Imaging detector columns can extend and retract radially as well as be rotated orbitally around the gantry. The system can automatically adjust setup configuration and an imaging operation based on subject shape estimation information.
POSITRON EMISSION TOMOGRAPHY IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method and system for determining a PET image of the scan volume based on one or more PET sub-images is provided. The method may include determining a scan volume of a subject supported by a scan table; dividing the scan volume into one or more scan regions; for each scan region of the one or more scan regions, determining whether there is a physiological motion in the scan region; generating, based on a result of the determination, a PET sub-image of the scan region based on first PET data of the scan region acquired in a first mode or based, at least in part, on second PET data of the scan region acquired in a second mode; and generating a PET image of the scan volume based on one or more PET sub-images.
X-RAY IMAGING EQUIPMENT
An X-ray imaging apparatus reduces waiting time and smoothly performs position alignment with a target region. The X-ray imaging apparatus has a C-arm that supports an X-ray tube and an X-ray detector; a turning mechanism that turns the C-arm around the vertical axis AX2; a table on which a subject M is loaded; a console; and a control element, wherein the control element runs the turning mechanism to turn the C-arm in the direction toward the preset target angle when the console provides the input power to perform the relative move of the table relative to the C-arm.
Supporting device in medical diagnostics system
A device and system for supporting a patient or an object in an examination is provided. The supporting system may include a portion for supporting the body of a patient and/or a head supporting device. The portion for supporting the body may move in one or more directions. The head supporting device may be adjust to meet requirements of imaging when the patient or the object is supine or prone.
X-ray diagnosis apparatus and x-ray diagnosis apparatus maneuvering device
An X-ray diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a table including a tabletop on which a patient is placed; an imaging unit including an X-ray tube to radiate X-rays onto the patient and an X-ray detector to detect X-rays; a maneuvering unit including a handle unit that is provided with contact sensors to detect contact made by an operator and is gripped by the operator and being configured to receive a maneuver to bring into operation the imaging unit and/or the table according to an operation of the handle unit; and a processing circuitry that judges whether the imaging unit and/or the table is to be brought into operation on the basis of detection results obtained by the contact sensors and that brings the imaging unit and/or the table into operation in accordance with a result of the judgment and the maneuver performed on the maneuvering unit.
CURVED COUCH TOPS FOR O-RING TREATMENT UNITS
A radiation system employs a couch top rotatable about a yaw axis to provide non-coplanar irradiation of a patient in an O-ring type of radiation machine. The radiation machine includes a source operable to produce radiation and a housing enclosing the source. The housing defines a bore and the source is rotatable at least partially around the bore. The couch top is adapted to be rotatable about a yaw axis, thereby allowing non-coplanar irradiation of at least a portion of the patient by the source. A radiation method is also provided.
Patient positioning apparatus
Disclosed is a patient positioning assembly for orientating a patient with respect to a radiation source. The patient positioning assembly includes a translatable member movable in a vertical direction between a vertically downwards first position and a vertically upwards second position. The patient positioning assembly further includes a patient support assembly mounted to the translatable member and adapted to rotate relative to the translatable member about a vertical axis. The patient support assembly is configurable between a first orientation, which sustains the patient in a seated position, and a second orientation, which sustains the patient in a generally standing position.
Patient table with a support surface for a patient
A patient table includes a support surface for a patient. The patient table includes a first table subunit, to provide a first surface region of the support surface; a second table subunit, to provide a second surface region; and an angle unit connected thereto, to fix a position of the first table subunit relative to the second table subunit such that the first surface region is provided in a first plane and the second surface region is provided in a second plane, intersecting the first plane at an intersection angle; and such that the support surface is secured against a change of the intersection angle upon loading of the support surface by the patient. The angle unit includes at least a first coupling element, to interact functionally with a first counter-coupling element provided on the first table subunit, to releasably connect the angle unit to the first table subunit.
Method for providing collision information and medical imaging device
A method is for providing collision information. In an embodiment, the method includes acquiring first position data relating to an outer contour of an object, via at least one measuring device arranged on a gantry of a medical imaging device; receiving second position data relating to an inner contour of an opening of the gantry and/or an outer contour of the gantry; receiving movement data relating to relative movement between the gantry and the object; calculating the collision information relating to a collision of the object and the gantry, based on the first position data, the second position data and the movement data; and providing the collision information.
