Protection of Structures with Subterranean Injection of Lignocellulosic Solids
A method for altering a characteristic of the ground. The method comprises the steps of preparing a lignocellulosic material, suspending the lignocellulosic material in a slurry to create a lignocellulosic slurry, and creating a fluid movement of the lignocellulosic slurry. The method further includes the steps of resuspending a portion of the lignocellulosic slurry with the fluid movement; and injecting the lignocellulosic slurry below the surface of the ground.
Sorel cement composition and method to cure loss of circulation
A system and method for applying a cement composition, including storing a slurry, adding magnesium oxide to the slurry to give a magnesium-oxychloride cement slurry, pumping the magnesium-oxychloride cement slurry into a wellbore, and sealing a loss circulation zone in the wellbore.
INSULATING FLUIDS CONTAINING POROUS MEDIA
Insulating fluids for use in drilling, production, and other applications are provided, the insulating fluids containing a porous medium (such as a sponge or foam) to limit the mobility of the liquid phase of the insulating fluid. The porous medium in the insulating fluid provides a mechanical means for reducing convective heat transfer, as the small pore spaces within the porous media create tortuous paths for the liquid moving therethrough. Methods include introducing the insulating fluid into an annulus of a drilling, riser, production, packer, or pipeline assembly to reduce heat transfer therethrough.

Filter plug to prevent proppant flowback
Provided is a filter plug, a well system, and a method for fracturing a well system. The filter plug, in one aspect, includes a filtration skeleton. The filter plug according to this aspect further includes a degradable material in contact with the filtration skeleton, the filtration skeleton and degradable material configured to lodge within a port in a wellbore, and thus substantially plug the port when the degradable material remains intact with the filtration skeleton and allow the filtration skeleton to filter particulate matter as fluid passes there through when the degradable material no longer remains intact with the filtration skeleton.
