Stabilized blends containing antioxidants
The present invention relates to functional fluid compositions containing antioxidants, and specifically stable compositions containing antioxidants with limited solubility in and/or limited compatibility with the functional fluids with which they are used. In particular the present invention deals with functional fluids used in internal combustion engines, such as engine oils, and antioxidants containing a phenolic or benzoic group, where the antioxidant is present in the functional fluid composition at levels that would otherwise cause the composition to be unstable and/or hazy.
ANTIPOLYMERANT COMPOSITIONS WITH BENZOQUINONE OR NAPHTHOQUINONE AND OXYGENATED AMINOPHENOL AND METHODS OF USING
Described are compositions and methods for inhibiting and retarding polymerization of a monomer composition, which use a naphthoquinone and an oxygenated aminophenol. When present in a monomer-containing composition, the combination of the naphthoquinone and oxygenated aminophenol provides an unexpected beneficial antipolymerant effect inhibiting unwanted formation of fouling polymer. The antipolymerant combination can be added to a hydrocarbon composition, such as a petroleum, that can include a polymerizable components, such as styrene, where the hydrocarbon composition is purified or processed, such as in the case of distillation.

ALGAL-BASED CORROSION INHIBITOR COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS THEREOF
Methods for using algal-based corrosion inhibitor compositions may comprise providing a corrosion inhibitor composition comprising an amidation reaction product of a dopamine and a triglyceride; contacting a metal surface with the corrosion inhibitor composition; and allowing the corrosion inhibitor composition to interact with the metal surface so as to inhibit corrosion of the metal surface.
