DRIFT REDUCTION ADJUVANTS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

Reducing fines from an agricultural spray dispensed from a nozzle is provided in the disclosed methods. The agricultural spray comprises water, an agricultural composition such as a pesticide, at least one oil emulsion drift reduction adjuvant, and at least one spontaneous emulsion drift reduction adjuvant. The agricultural spray exhibits fewer fine droplets having a diameter less than about 105 m, about 150 m, and/or about 210 m compared to an agricultural spray neither or only one of the oil emulsion drift reduction adjuvant and the spontaneous emulsion drift reduction adjuvant.

LOCALIZED IRRIGATION METHOD

Provided is a method for growing a plant using a water-absorbent resin that is less prone to be deactivated by calcium ions, magnesium ions, or the like in soil, water, or a fertilizer. The method includes mixing a first water-absorbent resin containing a crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol and a crosslinked phosphorylated starch or a second water-absorbent resin composed of a crosslinked phosphorylated polyvinyl alcohol into soil to form improved soil, and growing a plant such as turf on the improved soil. The water-absorbent resin is mixed in a granular shape into the soil to afford improved soil. The first water-absorbent resin includes those in which polyvinyl alcohol itself, a phosphorylated starch itself, and polyvinyl alcohol and a phosphorylated starch are crosslinked intermolecularly. The second water-absorbent resin includes one in which a phosphorylated polyvinyl alcohol itself is crosslinked intermolecularly.

COAL GANGUE SOIL AMENDMENT, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF

Provided are a coal gangue soil amendment, and a preparation method and use thereof. The coal gangue soil amendment includes: a crushed coal gangue material, a crushed cornstalk material, a livestock manure, a compound microbial agent, and a water-absorbing and water-retaining particle, with a weight ratio of the crushed coal gangue material, the crushed cornstalk material, the livestock manure, the compound microbial agent, and the high molecular water-absorbing and water-retaining particle being 50:20:5:3:1, where the coal gangue soil amendment is applied to soil at a weight ratio of 5 g/kg.
