CONTAINER CLOSURE WITH A SEALING ELEMENT
The invention relates to a container closure (1, 21, 41, 61) with a sealing element (3, 23, 43, 63). The sealing element (3, 23, 43, 63) comprises a polymer composition. The polymer composition comprises a butene copolymer. The butene copolymer has a melting temperature T.sub.m of between 30° C. and 130° C., wherein the melting temperature T. is determined by the second heating curve of a DSC measurement at a heating rate of 10° C. min.sup.−1
Ethylene acrylate rubber composition and molded article thereof
The present disclosure provides an ethylene acrylate rubber composition which has all of oil resistance, heat resistance and hydrolysis resistance with good balance after molding and cross-linking, and a molded article formed of a cross-linked substance of the ethylene acrylate rubber composition. The ethylene acrylate rubber composition contains 100 parts by mass of an ethylene acrylate rubber, 10 to 50 parts by mass of a plasticizer with an SP value of 7 or more and 0.05 to 30 parts by mass of a cross-linking agent selected from polyvalent aliphatic primary amine or derivatives thereof. The content of a plasticizer with an SP value of less than 7 in the ethylene acrylate rubber is less than 0.1 parts by mass. Further, a molded article formed of a cross-linked product of the ethylene acrylate rubber composition is provided.
Sealing resin composition
The present invention provides a sealing resin composition containing a polyester resin (A), carbodiimide (B) and an antioxidant (C).
METHOD FOR REPAIRING SELF-SEALING TIRES
This invention discloses a technique for replenishing the level of sealant in self-sealing tires at the time that a puncture in the tire is being repaired or when the tire is being recapped. This technique provides the tire with its original level of self-sealing capabilities and will enhance the possibility of the tire remaining in service until it can be conveniently repaired. This method involves (1) injecting a liquid sealant formulation into the sealant layer of a self-sealing tire through at least one puncture hole therein, and (2) sealing the hole or holes in the supporting carcass and the innerliner of the tire. The sealant utilized is typically liquid polyisobutylene having a weight average molecular weight of 25,000 to 200,000. The sealant formulation used can optionally also contain a colorant or a pigment.
