ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE
The present inventors have focused the fact that an arylamine material having a specific structure is excellent in hole injection/transport ability, thin film stability and durability. The arylamine compound of the above can be selected as a material for the hole transport layer, holes injected from the anode side can be efficiently transported. Furthermore, various organic EL devices combining electron transport materials having a specific structure and the like were manufactured, and the characteristics of the devices were evaluated diligently.

There is provided a photodetector element including a first electrode layer; a second electrode layer; a photoelectric conversion layer provided between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer; an electron transport layer provided between the first electrode layer and the photoelectric conversion layer; and a hole transport layer provided between the photoelectric conversion layer and the second electrode layer, in which the photoelectric conversion layer contains an aggregate of semiconductor quantum dots that contain a metal atom and contains a ligand coordinated to the semiconductor quantum dot, the hole transport layer contains an organic semiconductor, and the second electrode layer is formed of a metal material containing at least one metal atom selected from Au, Pt, Ir, Pd, Cu, Pb, Sn, Zn, Ti, W, Mo, Ta, Ge, Ni, Cr, or In. There is also provided an image sensor including the photodetector element.

A luminescence device includes a first electrode, a hole transport region disposed on the first electrode, an emission layer disposed on the hole transport region, an electron transport region disposed on the emission layer, and a second electrode disposed on the electron transport region. The hole transport region contains a nitrogen-containing compound represented by Formula 1, and thus, the luminescence device may exhibit long lifespan and high efficiency. LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A light emitting diode of an embodiment includes a first electrode, a hole transport region disposed on the first electrode, an emission layer disposed on the hole transport region, an electron transport region disposed on the emission layer, and a second electrode disposed on the electron transport region. The hole transport region includes a first hole transport layer disposed adjacent to the first electrode and having a first refractive index, a second hole transport layer disposed adjacent to the emission layer and having a second refractive index, and a third hole transport layer disposed between the first hole transport layer and the second hole transport layer and having a third refractive index which is greater than each of the first refractive index and the second refractive index, thereby showing high light extraction efficiency and high emission efficiency properties.
