The present disclosure provides fluorescent polyindenofluorene polymers or macromers with unique optical properties that are stable. The polymeric fluorophores are useful in various bioassays formats. The inventive polymers are useful in assays relying on fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) mechanisms where two fluorophores are used.
WATER SOLUBLE PYRANINE POLYMERS AND METHOD OF MAKING
A method of making a pyranine monomer composition comprises the step of reacting pyranine with a functionalizing agent that functionalizes the pyranine molecule with a polymerizable functional group to provide a composition of functionalized pyranine monomers, said functionalization reaction taking place in an aqueous reaction medium, and in the presence of a molar excess of said functionalizing agent, such that the functionalization reaction product is a monomer composition substantially free of unfunctionalized pyranine compound. The pyranine monomer compositions made by the method can be used to make fluorescent tagged water soluble polymer compositions that advantageously are substantially free of unpolymerized pyranine. The fluorescent tagged water soluble polymer compositions can be used in a method of inhibiting scale in industrial water systems.

Nanoparticle compositions comprising nanoparticles formed from -conjugated cross-linked polymers are disclosed, together with their methods of manufacture and their applications. Owing to the nature of the cross-links formed therein, the nanoparticle compositions afford a high degree of manufacturing flexibility and control, as well as being amenable to facile purification for the purpose of imaging and electronics applications.
Aqueous fluorescent ink and preparation method and use thereof
Disclosed is an aqueous fluorescent ink and a preparation method and use thereof. The aqueous fluorescent ink provided by the present disclosure includes 0.10%-0.14% of polystyrene micro-spheres, 0.010%-0.014% of fluorescent dyes, 0.4%-0.6% of surfactants, and the balance of water. The present disclosure uses polystyrene micro-spheres as a fluorescent dye carrier, which is colorless and transparent under ordinary daylight and completely invisible, and displays fluorescence only when irradiated by ultraviolet light and has high fluorescence intensity. The surfactant makes the polystyrene fluorescent micro-spheres uniformly dispersed in the fluorescent ink, and the stability of the fluorescent ink is improved. Water is used as a solvent, which has excellent safety and environmental friendliness. The accuracy of the printed patterns can reach 30 m, which can help realize large-format ultra-high-precision patterned anti-counterfeiting encryption printing. Through precision printing, the two-dimensional code can be implemented with one code for one object, and has excellent anti-counterfeiting ability.

The disclosure relates generally to black-to-transmissive electrochromic polymers having superior properties such as absorbance of across the entire visible spectrum and an obvious color change from black to transmissive with an applied voltage. The disclosure also relates to methods for synthesizing or using the same. Further, the disclosure also relates to black-to-transmissive electrochromic polymer thin films comprising the black-to-transmissive electrochromic polymers, as well as electrochromic devices comprising the black-to-transmissive electrochromic polymers or thin films.

A module structure includes a front sheet, a back sheet opposite to the front sheet, and a solar cell disposed between the front sheet and the back sheet. A first encapsulation film is disposed between the solar cell and the front sheet, and a second encapsulation film is disposed between the solar cell and the back sheet. The first encapsulation film and the second encapsulation film include an encapsulation material, which includes a resin and a fluorescent molecule. The present invention relates to novel formulations comprising an organic semiconductor (OSC) and one or more organic solvents. The formulation comprises a viscosity at 25 C. of less than 15 mPas and the boiling point of the solvent is at most 400 C.
