A high molecular weight compound according to the present invention includes a substituted triarylamine structural unit represented by the following general formula (1), ##STR00001## where AR.sup.1, AR.sup.2, and L each independently represent a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group or a divalent aromatic heterocyclic group, n is an integer of 1 to 3, Ar.sub.1 and Ar.sub.2 each independently represent an aryl group or a heteroaryl group, and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a heavy hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkyloxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 5 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyloxy group having 5 to 10 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an aryl group, an aryloxy group, or a heteroaryl group.

A polyimide luminescent material, a preparation method, and a used thereof are disclosed; the polyimide luminescent material includes a polyimide resin and a rare earth complex distributed in the polyimide resin, wherein the polyimide resin is a condensation polymer of an aromatic diamine containing a bidentate chelate ligand and an aromatic dianhydride, and the rare earth complex and the bidentate chelate ligand are connected by a chemical bond. The luminescent material has enhanced fluorescence intensity, thermal stability, and mechanical properties. The preparation method is simple and easy, and is suitable for industrial production.

An object of the present invention is to provide a medium which is capable of inhibiting precipitation and/or aggregation of fluorescent dye-containing resin particles and enables to use the fluorescent dye-containing resin particles for staining after a long-term storage without having to perform complicated operations. The present invention provides a medium for storing fluorescent dye-containing resin particles, wherein, in a particle-containing liquid obtained by adding fluorescent dye-containing resin particles to the medium, the rate of change in the backscatter intensity (transmitted light) at the center of the height of the particle-containing liquid left to stand for 24 hours after the addition is not less than −1% based on the particle-containing liquid immediately after the addition.
