Method for producing olefins and monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by a combination of steam cracking, dicyclopentadiene reduction, and cracking and reforming
A method for producing an olefin and a monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon of the present invention includes a dicyclopentadiene removal treatment step of removing dicyclopentadienes having a dicyclopentadiene skeleton from a feedstock oil which is a thermally-cracked heavy oil obtained from an apparatus for producing ethylene and which has a 90 volume % distillate temperature, as a distillation characteristic, of 390° C. or lower; and a cracking and reforming reaction step of obtaining a product containing an olefin and a monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon by bringing the feedstock oil having a content of dicyclopentadienes adjusted to 10% by weight or less by treating a part or all of the feedstock oil through the dicyclopentadiene removal step into contact with a catalyst and reacting the feedstock oil.
PROCESS FOR NAPHTHA AROMATIZATION USING A MULTI-STAGE FLUIDIZED SYSTEM
A fluidized reforming process comprising a two stage fluidized reforming reactor is described. A naphtha stream flows upward through the two fluidized stages and contacts the catalyst forming a product stream and spent catalyst. The spent catalyst is separated from the product stream and the naphtha feed stream. Some of the spent catalyst is regenerated by contact with an oxygen-containing regeneration fluid to heat and reactivate the catalyst. The heated, regenerated catalyst forms at least a port of the catalyst stream for the process. A process for cyclizing paraffins or isomerizing cyclopentanes is also described. The process uses a chloride-free Pt/Ga-containing catalyst to form a cyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon or isomerizing a cyclopentane in the presence of the chloride-free Pt/Ga-containing catalyst to form a cyclohexane.
Aromatization of light hydrocarbons using metal-modified zeolite catalysts
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to processes for aromatizing hydrocarbons includes contacting the hydrocarbons with a catalyst including at least two different metal modifiers dispersed on surfaces of a hydrogen-form medium-pore zeolite support. Each of the at least two different metal modifiers comprises a metal selected from the group consisting of IUPAC Groups 3-12, and lanthanide metals, and the catalyst is substantially free of gallium. Contacting the hydrocarbons with the catalyst causes a least a portion of the hydrocarbons to undergo a chemical reaction to form aromatic hydrocarbons.

A system of reforming reactors comprises a plurality of reactors coupled by flow lines, a feed header coupled to the plurality of reactors by a plurality of feed lines, an effluent header coupled to the plurality of reactors by a plurality of effluent lines, and a plurality of valves disposed in the flow lines, the feed lines, and the effluent lines. Each reactor comprises a reforming catalyst, and the plurality of valves is configured to dynamically connect the plurality of reactors to create a first serial flow path and reconnect the plurality of reactors to create a second serial flow path through the plurality of reactors. A first reactor of the plurality of reactors is adjacent to a second reactor of the plurality of reactors in the first serial flow path, and the first reactor is not adjacent to the second reactor in the second serial flow path.

In a process for the synthesis of a crystalline molecular sieve material having the EUO framework type, a synthesis mixture is provided suitable for the formation of an EUO framework type molecular sieve and comprising N,N,N,N′,N′,N′-hexamethylhexanediammonium, Q, cations and a colloidal suspension of seed crystals of an EUO framework type molecular sieve. The synthesis mixture is crystallized and an EUO framework type molecular sieve in the form individual crystals and/or aggregates of crystals having an average size, d.sub.50, as measured by laser scattering, of less than 15 μm is recovered from the synthesis mixture.

Process for the Preparation of Aromatic Compounds
Aromatic compounds are prepared from a feed stream comprising biomass or a mixture of biomass and synthetic polymer in a process, comprising: a) subjecting the feed stream to a pyrolysis treatment in the presence of a cracking catalyst to yield a vaporous fraction comprising hydrocarbons with olefinic unsaturation and oxygen containing organic compounds and coke-laden cracking catalyst; b) separating the vaporous fraction from the coke-laden cracking catalyst; c) contacting the vaporous fraction with a second, aromatization catalyst in a conversion treatment to yield a conversion product comprising aromatic compounds; and d) recovering aromatic compounds from the conversion product, wherein the cracking catalyst is a naturally occurring material, selected from the group consisting of inorganic salts, refractory oxides, minerals, industrial rock and mixtures thereof.
Method for producing high-octane motor gasolines of low-octane hydrocarbon fractions, fractions of gaseous olefins and oxygenates and a plant for the method embodiment
The invention relates to method and plant for the production of high-octane gasolines from raw hydrocarbon fractions, fractions of gaseous olefins and oxygenates. A method has been proposed, wherein the feedstock component flow is supplied to a unit for supplying flows to be treated, into the reactor, wherein the reaction is carried out in the presence of a zeolite-containing catalyst, high-octane gasoline is isolated by separation of the conversion product, while diverting simultaneously the reaction water and the exhaust gases. A reactor contains at least two reaction zones, between which there are further arranged means for mixing the reaction product from the previous reaction zone and the supplied oxygenates and olefin-containing feedstock, whereas using the unit for supplying flows there is supplied a flow oxygenates and olefin-containing feedstock and the flow of raw hydrocarbon fractions into the first reaction zone of the reactor, and the flow oxygenates and olefin-containing feedstock into the second reaction zone of the reactor.
