Catalyst for use in hydrotreatment, comprising metals from groups VIII and VIB, and preparation with citric acid and C1-C4 dialkyl succinate
A catalyst which comprises an amorphous support based on alumina, a C1-C4 dialkyl succinate, citric acid and optionally acetic acid, phosphorus and a hydrodehydrogenating function comprising at least one element from group VIII and at least one element from group VIB; the most intense bands comprised in the Raman spectrum of the catalyst are characteristic of Keggin heteropolyanions (974 and/or 990 cm.sup.−1), C1-C4 dialkyl succinate and citric acid (in particular 785 and 956 cm.sup.−1). Also a process for preparing said catalyst in which a catalytic precursor in the dried, calcined or regenerated state containing the elements of the hydrodehydrogenating function, and optionally phosphorus, is impregnated with an impregnation solution comprising at least one C1-C4 dialkyl succinate, citric acid and optionally at least one compound of phosphorus and optionally acetic acid, and is then dried. Further, the use of said catalyst in any hydrotreatment process.

A process for reducing the environmental contaminants in a ISO 8217 compliant Feedstock Heavy Marine Fuel Oil (Feedstock), the process involving: mixing a quantity of the Feedstock with a quantity of Activating Gas mixture to give a feedstock mixture; contacting the feedstock mixture with one or more catalysts to form a Process Mixture from the feedstock mixture; separating the Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil liquid (Product) components of the Process Mixture from the gaseous components and by-product hydrocarbons of the Process Mixture and, discharging the Product. The Product is compliant with ISO standards for residual marine fuel oils and has a maximum sulfur content between the range of 0.05% wt. to 0.50% wt. The Product can be used as or as a blending stock for compliant, low sulfur or ultralow sulfur heavy marine fuel oil. A device for conducting the process is also disclosed.

The invention describes a process for the capture of organometallic impurities in a hydrocarbon feedstock of gasoline type containing olefins and sulfur, in which a capture body is brought into contact with the feedstock to be treated and a stream of hydrogen, said capture body comprises an active phase based on nickel oxide particles with a size of less than or equal to 15 nm, said active phase not comprising other metal elements of Group VIb or Group VIII, which are deposited on a porous support chosen from the group consisting of aluminas, silica, silicas/aluminas, or also titanium or magnesium oxides, used alone or as a mixture with alumina or silica/alumina.

A desulfurization catalyst includes at least: 1) a sulfur-storing metal oxide, 2) an inorganic binder, 3) a wear-resistant component, and 4) an active metal component. The sulfur-storing metal is one or more of a metal of Group IIB of the periodic table, a metal of Group VB of the periodic table, and a metal of Group VIB of the periodic table, e.g., zinc. The desulfurization catalyst has a good stability and a high desulfurization activity.

CATALYST FOR HYDROGENATION REACTION AND PREPARATION METHOD FOR SAME
The present invention relates to a catalyst for a hydrocarbon resin hydrogenation reaction and a preparation method for the same, wherein the catalyst is a nickel powder catalyst including nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), and sulfur (S), and more particularly, a nickel-based catalyst for a hydrogenation reaction, which is added to a hydrogenation reaction in order to improve the color of the hydrocarbon resin. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a catalyst for a hydrogenation reaction, includes 40-80 parts by weight of nickel, 0.01-5 parts by weight of copper, 1-10 parts by weight of sulfur, and 10-60 parts by weight of a silica support based on 100 parts by weight of the entire dried catalyst including a support. Therefore, the catalyst can improve the quality of hydrocarbon resin. Furthermore, the catalyst can provide colorless, odorless, and transparent water-white hydrocarbon resin with improved thermal stability by removing unsaturated bonds in the hydrocarbon resin.
Method of preparing silica supported CoMoS hydrodesulfurization catalysts
A method of preparing hydrodesulfurization catalysts having cobalt and molybdenum sulfide deposited on a support material containing mesoporous silica. The method utilizes a sulfur-containing silane that dually functions as a silica source and a sulfur precursor. The method involves an one-pot strategy for hydrothermal treatment and a single-step calcination and sulfidation procedure. The application of the hydrodesulfurization catalysts in treating a hydrocarbon feedstock containing sulfur compounds to produce a desulfurized hydrocarbon stream is also specified.
Purification of recycled and renewable organic material
A method is disclosed of purifying a recycled or renewable organic material, wherein the recycled or renewable organic material includes more than 1 ppm silicon as silicon compounds. Exemplary steps include (a) providing the recycled or renewable organic material; (b) heat treating the recycled or renewable organic material to form a heat treated recycled or renewable organic material, wherein the at least part of silicon compounds present in the recycled or renewable organic material are converted to volatile silicon compounds, and (c) evaporating volatile silicon compounds from the heat treated recycled or renewable organic material to obtain recycled or renewable organic material fraction containing less silicon than the recycled or renewable organic material provided in step (a).
