Radiation generation control device, radiation generation control system, and radiography system
A radiation generation control device includes an acquirer, a first connector, a second connector and a controller. The acquirer acquires a first signal which instructs emission of radiation. The first connector inputs a second signal which indicates a driving state of a radiography apparatus that generates a radiographic image. The second connector connects with a radiation generation apparatus that generates radiation. The controller makes the second connector repeatedly output a third signal which instructs emission of radiation with a predetermined period based on the acquired first signal and the input second signal.
Systems and methods for surgical and interventional planning, support, post-operative follow-up, and, functional recovery tracking
Various systems and methods are provided for surgical and interventional planning, support, post-operative follow-up, and functional recovery tracking. In general, a patient can be tracked throughout medical treatment including through initial onset of symptoms, diagnosis, non-surgical treatment, surgical treatment, and recovery from the surgical treatment. In one embodiment, a patient and one or more medical professionals involved with treating the patient can electronically access a comprehensive treatment planning, support, and review system. The system can provide recommendations regarding diagnosis, non-surgical treatment, surgical treatment, and recovery from the surgical treatment based on data gathered from the patient and the medical professional(s). The system can manage the tracking of multiple patients, thereby allowing for data comparison between similar aspects of medical treatments and for learning over time through continual data gathering, analysis, and assimilation to decision-making algorithms.
X-ray imaging apparatus and control method of X-ray imaging apparatus
An X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray source, an X-ray imaging panel, and a controller. The controller includes an image processing unit that generates an inspection image in accordance with a data signal read from a thin-film transistor with the thin-film transistor supplied with a gate signal, a detection control unit that detects a dark-spot pixel from the inspection image, and a threshold correction unit that applies, to a gate of the thin-film transistor corresponding to the dark-spot pixel, a positive shift voltage that raises a gate-off threshold voltage of the thin-film transistor.
Imaging systems using x-ray fluorescence
Disclosed herein is a method, comprising: causing emission of characteristic X-rays of a chemical element in an object by directing radiation to the object; capturing images of the object using the radiation that has transmitted through the object; capturing images of the chemical element in the object using the characteristic X-rays; reconstructing a three-dimensional image of the object based on the images of the object; determining a three-dimensional distribution of the chemical element in the object based on the images of the chemical element; and superposing the three-dimensional image of the object and the three-dimensional distribution of the chemical element in the object to form a superposed image of the object. The radiation directed to the object comes from multiple radiation sources. The images are captured with multiple image sensors. The radiation sources and the image sensors are stationary with respect to the object.
Systems, methods and devices for forming respiratory-gated point cloud for four dimensional soft tissue navigation
A surgical instrument navigation system and method of use is provided that visually simulates a virtual volumetric scene of a body cavity of a patient from a point of view of a surgical instrument residing in the cavity of the patient, wherein the surgical instrument, as provided, may be a steerable surgical catheter with a biopsy device and/or a surgical catheter with a side-exiting medical instrument, among others. Additionally, systems, methods and devices are provided for forming a respiratory-gated point cloud of a patient's respiratory system and for placing a localization element in an organ of a patient.
RADIATION IMAGING SYSTEM
A radiation imaging system includes a radiation source and a notifying unit. The radiation source is for still image shooting and moving image shooting performed by the radiation imaging system to obtain image data of a subject. The notifying unit notifies whether a type of imaging to be performed is the still image shooting or the moving image shooting in a mode in which the type is instinctively recognizable by at least one of sense of sight, sense of hearing, and sense of touch.

Predictive use of quantitative imaging
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for predicting a disease state of a subject using ultrasound imaging. The method includes identifying at least one quantitative measurement of a subject using ultrasound imaging, the at least one quantitative measurement included as part of quantitative information of the subject gathered based on the ultrasound imaging, comparing the at least one quantitative measurement to a first predetermined standard to determine a first initial value, the first predetermined standard falling within a first range of quantities, identifying at least one qualitative measurement of the subject using the ultrasound imaging, the at least one qualitative measurement included as part of qualitative information of the subject gathered based on the ultrasound imaging, comparing the at least one qualitative measurement to a second predetermined standard to determine a second initial value, the second predetermined standard falling within a second range of quantities; and correlating at least the quantitative information and the qualitative information using the first initial value and the second initial value to determine a final value that is used in predicting a disease state of the subject.
Method and system for obtaining operating parameters for 3D x ray acquisition
The invention concerns a method for obtaining operating parameters for an x-ray CBCT imaging apparatus in view of acquiring a set of data of a patient's maxillofacial region. The method comprises: identifying a patient's maxillofacial first region of interest (ROI1), determining a height of a horizontal plane of said patient's maxillofacial first region of interest (ROI1) when the patient is in an occlusion position or bites a patient positioning accessory, acquiring through a slit-shaped collimator window a first set of data relative to said patient's maxillofacial first region of interest (ROI1) including the horizontal plane using x-ray CBCT imaging, reconstructing an axial CBCT slice comprising the horizontal plane based on the first set of data relative to the patient's maxillofacial first region of interest (ROI1), displaying the reconstructed axial CBCT slice of the patients maxillofacial first region of interest (ROI1) from the acquired first set of data, defining at least partially a second region of interest (ROI2) based on the displayed reconstructed axial CBCT slice of the patient's maxillofacial first region of interest (ROI1) and intersecting the latter, obtaining operating parameters for an x-ray CBCT imaging apparatus based on at least the defined second region of interest (ROI2) in view of acquiring a second set of data including the defined second region of interest (ROI2).
Double balloon catheter having a lobed inner balloon
An apparatus, including a flexible insertion tube having a distal end for insertion into a body cavity, and first and second conduits configured to deliver first and second fluids, respectively, to the distal end. The distal end includes a first balloon coupled to the first conduit so that the first fluid inflates the first balloon and is delivered, via one or more spray ports in the first balloon, to tissue in the body cavity, a second balloon contained within the first balloon and coupled to the second conduit so that the second fluid inflates the second balloon, and multiple splines including a flexible, resilient material and extending along a longitudinal axis of the distal end, and configured to constrain the second balloon so that inflation of the second balloon creates lobes that form, along the longitudinal axis between the lobes, channels that direct the first fluid to the spray ports.
