It is generically provided that the catalyst comprises at least one Group VIB metal component, at least one Group VIII metal component, about 1 to about 30 wt % C, and preferably about 1 to about 20 wt % C, and more preferably about 5 to about 15 wt % C of one or more sulfur containing organic additive and a titanium-containing carrier component, wherein the amount of the titanium component is in the range of about 3 to about 60 wt %, expressed as an oxide (TiO.sub.2) and based on the total weight of the catalyst. The titanium-containing carrier is formed by co-extruding or precipitating a titanium source with a Al.sub.2O.sub.3 precursor to form a porous support material comprising Al.sub.2O.sub.3 or by impregnating a titanium source onto a porous support material comprising Al.sub.2O.sub.3.

Method for vaporizing liquid propane and vaporizing apparatus used therefor

A method for vaporizing liquid propane to be supplied as a raw material to a naphtha cracking ractor. The method comprises: decompressing liquid propane to lower a vaporization point and vaporize at least a portion of the liquid propane; utilizing vaporization heat, generated during vaporization of the portion of liquid propane, as a refrigerant; compressing the vaporized propane gas to increase pressure of the propane gas and produce compressed propane gas; and preheating the compressed propane gas. By using this method, it is possible to reduce pressure of liquid propane to a significantly lower pressure than the related art method so that all the vaporization latent heat or vaporization heat included in liquid propane may be utilized as a refrigerant, while also reducing heat energy consumed in a preheat process before it is supplied to the naphtha cracking reactor.

RELATIVE VALUATION METHOD FOR NAPHTHA STREAMS

A system and a method for determining the relative value of a naphtha stream is provided, by conducting analysis on the crude oil sample, after which modules or steps are performed to estimate the total liquid yields, estimate raw product yields, normalize raw product yields, determine the value of each fraction based on predetermined values, and calculate the total value of the naphtha stream.

Halogen-free ionic liquids in naphtha desulfurization and their recovery

Ionic liquids of the general formula C.sup.+A.sup.− where C.sup.+ represents an organic cation, specifically, but not limited to the imidazolium, pyridinium, isoquinolinium, ammonium types, which have aliphatic and aromatic substituents, while A.sup.− represents a carboxylate, aromatic and aliphatic anion. The ionic liquids are synthesized under conventional heating or microwave irradiation This invention is also related to the application of ionic liquids to remove sulfur compounds of naphthas through a liquid-liquid extraction and the recovery and reuse of ionic liquids by the application of heat, reduced pressure and washing with solvents.

Method for the conversion of feedstock containing naphtha to low carbon olefins and aromatics

Disclosed is a method for producing low carbon olefins and/or aromatics from feedstock comprising naphtha. The method can include the following steps: a) feeding feedstock comprising naphtha into a fast fluidized bed reactor; b) contacting the feedstock with a catalyst under conditions to produce a gas product and spent catalyst; c) separating the gas product to produce a stream comprising primarily one or more low carbon olefins and/or one or more aromatics; d) transporting the spent catalyst to a regenerator; e) regenerating the spent catalyst in the regenerator to form regenerated catalyst; and f) returning the regenerated catalyst to the fast fluidized bed reactor.
