System and method for dual-use computed tomography for imaging and radiation therapy

A system and method for delivering microbeam radiation therapy (MRT) includes a computed tomography scanner (“CT”) configured to generate tomographic images of a subject, or patient, the scanner including an imaging apparatus, a gantry with an opening for positioning the patient therein, an axis of rotation around which the gantry rotates, and an x-ray source mounted to and rotatable with the gantry. The system includes a bed for patient positioning within the gantry opening and a multi-slit collimator removably mounted downstream of the x-ray source for delivering an array of microbeams of MRT to a targeted portion of the patient. Switching between MRT and CT is provided, and MRT modes of operation include a stationary mode, and continuous and step-wise rotational modes.

Medical diagnostic and treatment systems and their methods of use

Embodiments related to methods and wearable medical detecting systems for detecting disease states and/or treatment states of a subject are described. In one embodiment, a wearable structure may include one or more radiation detectors use to detect a time varying radiation signal emitted from a labeled compound within a body portion of interest. The radiation signal may be analyzed to determine one or more signal characteristics that may be compared to one or more predetermined standard characteristics associated with known disease and/or treatment states to determine a current disease and/or treatment state of a subject.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMAGE RECONSTRUCTION
20230069017 · 2023-03-02 · ·

The present disclosure is related to systems and methods for image reconstruction. The method may include obtaining at least one positron emission tomography (PET) image of a subject. The at least one PET image may be generated based on PET data acquired during an examination period. In the examination period, the subject may be injected with a tracer. The method may also include determining, based on the at least one PET image, an input function that reflects a concentration change of the tracer in the subject during the examination period. The method may further include generating a parametric image based on the input function and the at least one PET image according to a non-linear parametric estimation algorithm. The parametric image may reflect a kinetic parameter of the tracer in the subject.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ACCESSING THE INTRADURAL COMPARTMENT AND TREATING INTRACRANIAL HEMATOMA

Devices and methods are described for a minimally invasive procedure offering immediate relief of brain compression and prevention of subdural hematoma re-accumulation. For example, this disclosure describes devices and methods for embolization of bleeding branch vessels of the middle meningeal artery and subdural hematoma drainage in a single endovascular intervention using multimodal catheter-based technology.

REGION CORRECTION DEVICE, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
20230113725 · 2023-04-13 · ·

A region correction device, method, and program make it possible to, when one of a plurality of regions is corrected to be reduced, determine the boundaries of a plurality of regions adjacent to the reduced region. A processor reduces a first region among a plurality of regions in response to an instruction to reduce the first region, the instruction being provided for a target image in which the plurality of regions are adjacent to each other, the plurality of regions being three or more regions different from each other. The processor derives a difference region representing a difference between the first region before reduction and the first region after reduction, the difference region being composed of a plurality of small regions. The processor assigns a plurality of adjacent regions adjacent to the first region to the difference region by sequentially expanding, in the difference region, the plurality of adjacent regions in units of the small regions from a boundary between the difference region and the plurality of adjacent regions.
