SLAG CRUSHER

A slag crusher includes a screen provided so as to intersect a falling direction of a slag and having openings; at least two spreaders disposed opposite from one another on the screen; and a spreader moving unit configured to support the spreaders and move the spreaders in a direction vertical to the opposing faces of the spreaders. Each spreader includes projections and a lower projection so as to face the other spreader. In a state in which the lower projection is closest to the other spreader, the lower projection does not come into surface contact with the opposed lower projection, and a distance between the opposing lower projections is smaller than an opening dimension of the openings of the screen across a width direction of the spreaders.

SLAG DISCHARGE SYSTEM AND GASIFIER

This slag discharge system (1) includes: a slag hopper (5) of a coal gasifier (2); a slag discharge line (7) that discharges a mixture of slag and slag water (W); a slag separation device (10) that separates the slag from the mixture of slag and slag water (W); a circulation pump (24) that forms a water flow from the slag hopper (5) to the slag separation device (10) in the slag discharge line (7); a lock hopper (14) that stores slag which has been separated at the slag separation device (10) and discharges the same out of the coal gasifier (2) system: a slag discharge valve (15) that is provided on a lower outlet of the lock hopper (14); and a slag water return flow line (20) for returning the slag water (W) which has been separated at the slag separation device (10) to the slag hopper.

The slag crusher includes: a porous member screen; a spreader that is reciprocated in a predetermined direction along a top surface of the screen and crushes the slag accumulated on the screen; and a guide rod having an axis line along the predetermined direction, is connected to the spreader, and restricts a moving direction of the spreader, the guide rod has a spreader-side member connected to the spreader and a shaft member connected to the spreader-side member, the spreader-side member and the shaft member are connected by butt welding in the axis line direction, and the spreader-side member and the shaft member have the same shape of cross sections orthogonal to the axis line direction at a butt welding position.

The radiant section internally includes a built-in radiant waste boiler assembly, wherein the internal region defined by the built-in radiant waste boiler assembly is a radiant chamber. The region defined by the quenching section is a quenching chamber.

High temperature and pressure solids handling system

A fluidized bed gasification system which comprises a fluidized bed gasification reactor having a bottom ash discharge outlet below the reactor, wherein an L-valve is used to control the rate of bottom ash discharge. The L-valve uses an aeration port located on distal side of the L-valve vertical pipe at a location that is above the center line of the horizontal pipe. Also provided are methods of controlling the bottom ash discharge as well the fluidized reaction bed height of the system.

Gasifiers for the gasification of solid carbon-based fuels are disclosed herein. An example gasifier includes an inlet chamber for introducing fuel into the gasifier and a pyrolysis region for pyrolyzing the fuel introduced into the vessel. The pyrolysis region includes first means for admission of a pyrolysis agent. The example gasifier also includes a combustion region for incinerating pyrolysis gases originating from the pyrolysis region, where the combustion region includes second means for admission of a gasifying agent. Also, the example gasifier includes a reduction region for gasifying carbonized fuel originating from the pyrolysis region, an outlet for collecting gases originating from the reduction region, and a region for collecting and discharging ashes. In addition, the example gasifier includes active transfer means to actively transfer solid material from the pyrolysis region to the reduction region. In some examples, the active transfer means is located between the pyrolysis region and the combustion region, and the active transfer means includes a transfer chamber to prevent a direct flow of the solid material from the pyrolysis region to the reduction region, where the transfer chamber is permeable to the pyrolysis gases.

A system includes a slurry inlet of the gasifier that receives a feedstock slurry and a gasification section of the gasifier that gasifies the feedstock slurry to produce syngas. The system includes a quench chamber to cool the syngas produced in the gasification section using a liquid feed to produce a quench blow down and quenched syngas. The quench blow down has solids produced as a by-product from gasification. The system includes a quench blowdown outlet which discharges the quench blow down and a slag sump liquid such that the solids concentration of the quench blowdown is reduced. The system includes a syngas outlet which discharges the syngas and a syngas scrubber fluidly coupled to the syngas outlet and to the quench chamber. The syngas scrubber includes a syngas inlet, a scrubbed syngas outlet, and a scrubber blow down outlet fluidly coupled to a fluid inlet of the gasifier.

A refractory wall comprises a hotface layer comprising a hotface surface configured to be adjacent to a carbonaceous gasification environment, a backing layer facing the hotface layer, and a cooling layer facing the backing layer and configured to cool the hotface layer via the backing layer.
