The present invention relates to a clipping machine for producing sausage-shaped products, like sausages, by filling a tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing with filling material and closing said filled tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing. The clipping machine includes a filling tube through which the filling material is fed into said tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing which is stored on said filling tube, a casing brake assembly arranged on the filling tube for limiting the movement of the tubular packaging casing at least while being filled, gathering means for gathering said filled tubular packaging casing and for forming a plait-like portion thereto, and a clipping device for applying at least one closure means, like a closure clip, to the plait-like portion formed on the filled tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing in a closing region. The clipping machine further comprises a housing defining at least a front wall, a rear wall, and two side walls of the clipping machine, for enclosing at least the clipping device and the gathering means. The housing includes at least one housing element arranged in the front wall of the housing for covering at least the closing region, wherein the at least one housing element is coupled to the clipping machine by a linking device including a shifting mechanism for reversibly shifting the housing element relative to the clipping machine, in a shifting direction, for granting access to the closing region of the clipping machine.

The present invention relates to a clipping machine and a method for producing sausage-shaped products, like sausages, by filing a flowable filling material into a tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing and closing said packaging casing by a closure means, like a closure clip. The clipping machine comprises a filling tube for feeding the filling material into the tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing stored on the filling tube and being closed at its first end, gathering means for gathering the filled tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing and for forming a plait-like portion thereto, the gathering means includes a first displacer unit and a second displacer unit, and a clipping device having a first and a second closing tool being reversibly movable between an opened position and a closed position, for applying at least one closure means to the plait-like portion and closing said closure means when the closing tools are in their closed position. The clipping machine includes common drive means for commonly reversibly radially moving the gathering means from an opened position into a closed position for performing the gathering movement, and the clipping tools for applying said closure means on the plait-like portion and closing said closure means. The clipping machine further comprises single drive means for separately reversibly driving the second displacer unit for executing a movement in axial direction for forming the plait-like portion, at least partially independently from the common drive means. The clipping machine further comprises a control unit for controlling the single drive means at least partially independently from the common drive means and at least a first sensor associated with the common drive means and at least a second sensor associated with the single drive means, which are coupled to the control unit.

A clipping device is provided for closing at least one closure, like a closure clip, in a packaging machine, for closing tubular or bag-shaped packaging casings as well as a method for controlling a clipping device. The clipping device includes a first closing tool and a second closing tool, wherein at least the first closing tool is reversibly movable towards the second closing tool, between an opened position and a closed position, for closing the at least one closure means and a drive for reversibly moving at least the first closing tool towards the second closing tool in a closing direction. In the clipping device, a monitoring device is provided in the region of the second closing tool for monitoring the second closing tool being prepared for the next clipping cycle.

The invention relates to a clipping machine for closing tubular packagings. The machine has a blade and a counter blade for severing the packaging material. Both blades are arranged on closing arms of the machine. At least one of the blades has a drive which is also situated on one of the closing arms. This and the development of the cutting edges create an effective and at the same time space-saving cutting mechanism.

The present invention relates to a clipping machine for producing sausage-shaped products by filling a flowable filling material into a tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing and closing said packaging casing by at least one closure means, the clipping machine comprises a filling tube, having a central axis and a filling outlet, for feeding said filling material in a feeding direction via said filling outlet into said packaging casing, a displacement device for gathering the filled packaging casing and for forming a plait-like portion thereto, at least substantially free from filling material and a clipping device for applying at least one closure means to said plait-like portion. The present invention relates to a closure strap for closing packages having a bag-shaped or tubular form, in particular for closing sausage-shaped packages, like sausages. The closure strap comprises a strap body including an elongated stripe portion having a first end and a second end, and an insertion portion having a first end, a second end and an insertion channel. The second end of the insertion portion is connected with the first end of the stripe portion. The second end of the stripe portion forms an insertion end for being inserted into the insertion channel of the insertion portion in an insertion direction. The second or insertion end of the stripe portion and the insertion channel have a substantially round cross section corresponding to each other.

The present invention relates to a closure strap for closing packages having a bag-shaped or tubular form, in particular for closing sausage-shaped packages, like sausages. The closure strap comprises a strap body including an elongated stripe portion having a first end and a second end, and an insertion portion having a first end, a second end and an insertion channel. The second end of the insertion portion is connected with the first end of the stripe portion. The second end of the stripe portion forms an insertion end for being inserted into the insertion channel of the insertion portion in an insertion direction. The second or insertion end of the stripe portion and the insertion channel have a substantially round cross section corresponding to each other.

In a method for producing sausage chains (1), consisting of at least two sausages (2), by a filling machine (10) filling a sausage mass (6) into a sausage casing (16), wherein the sausage chain (1) is tied for producing two separate sausages (2.1, 2.1) between said sausages (2.1, 2.2), a suspension line (12) for suspending the sausage chains (1) is to be connected downstream of the tying.

The present invention provides a clip line fixture suitable for use with a clip line wound around a clip reel, the clip line fixture being configured to prevent the clip line from unwinding from the clip reel. The clip line fixture comprises at least one attachment portion shaped to removably attach the clip line fixture to at least one corresponding mating portion of a clip reel at a position along an outer rim portion of the clip reel. The clip line fixture further comprises a hold-down portion shaped to engage at least one corresponding portion of a clip line wound around the clip reel so as to prevent a free end portion of the clip line at least from radially separating from the clip reel.
