Mixed-mode X-ray detector
The present invention is related to an X-ray detector and to an X-ray detector system comprising the X-ray detector. It is further related to an X-ray system and to a method for obtaining an X-ray image. According to the invention, the X-ray detector is configured to be operable in a mixed read-out mode in which an output of the X-ray sensor comprises sequentially obtained first blocks, each first block comprising a plurality of sequentially obtained different second blocks, wherein each second block comprises a read-out of the target segment, and wherein more than one of the second blocks comprises a different part of the additional segments such that each first block comprises a read-out for each of the plurality of segments.
Dental intraoral radiological image sensor
An intra-oral dental radiological image sensor is mechanically reinforced by two front R.sub.A and rear R.sub.B mechanical reinforcing plates each inserted between a respective face of an image capture module and a respective front 20A and rear 20B shell bottom of a casing. The front reinforcing plate is a solid plate, made of material transparent to X rays, covering the photosensitive front face (scintillator) of the module, and harder than the front shell. The rear plate, less thick than the front plate, is harder than the rear shell and comprises an opening O provided to surround, without covering them, components present on the rear face of the module, under a rear shell dome.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TOOTH BODY AUTOMATIC PREPARATION BY DIGITAL CONTROLLED LASER LIGHT AND TOOTH RETAINER
A digital control laser automatic tooth preparation method and device and a tooth positioner are provided. The device includes an intra-oral three-dimensional scanner, a dental laser, an oral working end of a digital control laser tooth preparation control system, an oral and maxillofacial cone beam CT scanner, a computer, a tooth positioner, a negative-pressure suction device and a real-time monitoring device. The computer is connected respectively with the intra-oral three-dimensional scanner, the dental laser, the oral working end of the digital control laser tooth preparation control system, the oral and maxillofacial cone beam CT scanner, the negative-pressure suction device, and the real-time monitoring device. The dental laser is connected with the oral working end of the digital control laser tooth preparation control system through a light guiding arm (1). The oral working end of the digital control laser tooth preparation control system is connected with the tooth positioner and the real-time monitoring device. The negative-pressure suction device is connected with the tooth positioner. The digital control laser automatic tooth preparation method and device according to embodiments of the present invention can replace part of manual operations of a doctor, uses a laser to replace a conventional mechanical grinding instrument, and can effectively improve the standard level and efficiency of clinical oral tooth preparation.
Method for Virtual Setup with Mixed Dentition
A method for visualizing patient dentition acquires a contour image of patient dentition and segments the contour image to identify one or more segmented teeth. At least one deciduous tooth among the one or more segmented teeth is identified. A virtual model of a target dentition arrangement of the patient dentition is generated, wherein the at least one deciduous tooth is replaced by a replacement permanent tooth.
X-RAY IMAGING APPARATUS AND PATIENT SUPPORT
The invention concerns an X-ray imaging apparatus for imaging a skull or a partial area of the skull, which apparatus comprises between the X-ray source and detector a patient support means (17). The patient support means (17) comprise a rear rest structure (170) containing a support part (171) arranged to get positioned at occipital area. The rear rest structure (170) comprises a first elongated supporting structure (172), a first end of which containing said support part (171) and a second end of which extending to different side of the imaging station (18) than where said support part (171) is located.
COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY AND POSITIONING OF A VOLUME TO BE IMAGED
The invention relates to positioning a volume to be imaged for computed tomography imaging. According to the invention, at least two optical cameras (22) are used for taking a photo or for live imaging an anatomy from different directions. A volume positioning indicator (42) is shown in connection with these images, the volume positioning indicator (42) indicating the location of the volume within the area imaged by the cameras (22) to get imaged by the computed tomography imaging apparatus (10).
SURGICAL DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A surgical device for identification of a surgical site of interest, such as a craniofacial or dental site (root apex of an identified tooth), and a method for using the device is provided. The device includes a perimeter bar and a plurality of intermediate cross bars arranged in a grid structure. The device can be used during a surgical procedure requiring enhanced precision, such as during an endodontic surgical procedure, by positioning the device next to a patient's tooth and capturing a CBCT image, the CBCT image being used to identify a drilling location. The device can be repositioned alongside the patient's tooth, and used to identify an accurate drilling position.
Digital dental examination and documentation
Systems and methods are disclosed for processing and storing acquired data relating to one or more dental conditions. The methods can include acquiring a first oral feature in a first data acquisition using a data acquisition device, determining a first oral feature first reference point from the first data acquisition, diagnosing a first dental condition upon confirming that the first oral feature first reference point is associated with the first dental condition, acquiring the first oral feature in a second data acquisition using the data acquisition device, determining a first oral feature second reference point from the second data acquisition, and tracking the progression of the first dental condition by determining a discrepancy between the first oral feature first and second reference points.
Dental Framework and Prosthesis
A dental prosthesis and a process for design and manufacturing, incorporating a dental implant framework and veneering overlay that will be designed and manufactured simultaneously and permanently fixated to one another.
CBCT IMAGING OF IMPRESSION HAVING IMPLANT LOCATOR
Embodiments provide the capability to determine a digital 3D model of a patient's teeth obtains projection images acquired by scanning a negative impression of the patient's teeth using a computed tomographic imaging apparatus, where the impression includes a radio-opaque transfer element for a dental implant or crown post. One exemplary method reconstructs, from the projection images, an air volume model within the reconstructed volume and bounded by a transition surface defined according to the negative impression. A transfer element volume model of the transfer element is defined, segmented from the air volume model and from the transition surface. A combined digital 3D model of the patient's teeth is formed according to the air volume model and transfer element volume model. At least a portion of the combined digital 3D model of the teeth is displayed.
