LUBRICATING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF OPERATING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The instant disclosure generally relates to lubricating compositions having an oil of lubricating viscosity, a mixture of boron-containing and boron-free dispersants, an overbased magnesium-based detergent, an overbased calcium-based detergent, a molybdenum-containing material, and, optionally, other performance additives. The instant lubricating compositions may improve one or more of cleanliness, TBN retention, fuel economy and low-speed preignition (“LSPI”).
LUBRICATING COMPOSITIONS FOR A HYBRID ENGINE
The present disclosure relates to methods for improving phosphorus retention and improving antiwear performance in an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle, comprising lubricating the internal combustion engine of the hybrid vehicle with a lubricating oil composition comprising: greater than 50 wt. % of a base oil of lubricating viscosity; and an amount of one or more zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate compound(s) sufficient to provide: from about 100 ppmw phosphorus to about 1000 ppmw phosphorus, based on a total weight of the lubricating oil composition; and from about 10 ppmw zinc to about 1200 ppmw zinc, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITIONS FOR A HYBRID ENGINE
The present disclosure relates to methods for improving phosphorus retention and improving antiwear performance in an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle, comprising lubricating the internal combustion engine of the hybrid vehicle with a lubricating oil composition comprising: greater than 50 wt. % of a base oil of lubricating viscosity; and an amount of one or more zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate compound(s) sufficient to provide: from about 100 ppmw phosphorus to about 1000 ppmw phosphorus, based on a total weight of the lubricating oil composition; and from about 10 ppmw zinc to about 1200 ppmw zinc, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.
HYDRAULIC FLUID
The present invention provides a hydraulic fluid comprising: (a) 40 to 150 ppm by weight in terms of nitrogen content of a corrosion inhibiting agent which is one or more compounds of formula (I):
##STR00001## and/or tribologically acceptable salts thereof, wherein in formula (I): each R.sup.1 is independently a hydrocarbyl group comprising 1 to 10 carbon atoms, x is 0 to 4, and R.sup.2 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms; (b) 1500 to 4000 ppm by weight of an ashless nitrogen-containing dispersant; and (c) a major amount of a base oil.
HYDRAULIC FLUID
The present invention provides a hydraulic fluid comprising: (a) 40 to 150 ppm by weight in terms of nitrogen content of a corrosion inhibiting agent which is one or more compounds of formula (I):
##STR00001## and/or tribologically acceptable salts thereof, wherein in formula (I): each R.sup.1 is independently a hydrocarbyl group comprising 1 to 10 carbon atoms, x is 0 to 4, and R.sup.2 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms; (b) 1500 to 4000 ppm by weight of an ashless nitrogen-containing dispersant; and (c) a major amount of a base oil.
Refrigerator oil and hydraulic fluid composition for refrigerators
A refrigerating oil comprising a lubricating base oil, a first extreme pressure agent containing sulfur and phosphorus as constituent elements and a second extreme pressure agent containing phosphorus but not containing sulfur as constituent elements, and having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 0.5 mm.sup.2/s or more and 2.5 mm.sup.2/s or less.

Provided is a grease composition which contains (A) a mixed base oil containing (A1) a low-viscosity base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 10 to 50 mm.sup.2/s and (A2) a high-viscosity base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 200 to 700 mm.sup.2/s, (B) a lithium-based thickener and (C) a polymer having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 1,000 to 100,000 mm.sup.2/s, and has an apparent viscosity at −10° C., as measured according to JIS K2220:2013 and at a shear rate of 10 s.sup.−1, of 50 to 250 mPa.Math.s. The grease composition is excellent in pumpability and is also excellent in wear resistance under poor lubrication conditions.

The present invention relates to a dinuclear molybdenum complex with ligands selected from fatty tertiary amines of formula (I):
