Imaging systems and methods

Versatile, multimode radiographic systems and methods utilize portable energy emitters and radiation-tracking detectors. The x-ray emitter may include a digital camera and, optionally, a thermal imaging camera to provide for fluoroscopic, digital, and infrared thermal imagery of a patient for the purpose of aiding diagnostic, surgical, and non-surgical interventions. The emitter may cooperative with an inventive x-ray capture stage that automatically pivots, orients and aligns itself with the emitter to maximize exposure quality and safety. The combined system uses less power, corrects for any skew or perspective in the emission, allows the subject to remain in place, and allows the surgeon's workflow to continue uninterrupted.

An diagnostic X-ray radiography device and system whereby a subject (M) can be placed on and taken off of an imaging bed safely, easily, and comfortably. In the device and system a placement-accommodating-state memory (21) stores a plurality of placement-accommodating states each consisting of an imaging bed (1) position and orientation and an X-ray tube (4) position that accommodate a given placement state of the subject (M). A placement-accommodating-state control unit (22) is provided that, if a desired placement-accommodating state is specified from among the plurality of placement-accommodating states by means of a control panel (11), makes the position of the imaging bed (1) and the position of the X-ray tube (4) conform to the specified placement-accommodating state. A placement-accommodating state is thus set automatically, so that the subject (M) can be placed and removed from the imaging bed (1) easily without a collimator (4a) attached to the X-ray tube (4) getting in the way.

Medical image diagnosis apparatus and controlling method

A medical image diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a gantry, one or more columns, a processing circuitry, and, and a supporting and moving mechanism. The gantry includes an imaging system related to imaging a patient. The one or more columns are each configured to support the gantry so as to be movable in a vertical direction. The processing circuitry generates an image on the basis of an output from the imaging system. The supporting and moving mechanism is configured to support the patient from underneath, while being installed so as to be movable in a direction intersecting the moving direction of the gantry. The processing circuitry controls the moving of the supporting and moving mechanism.

When performing processing for eliminating scattered radiation included in radiation transmitted through a subject on a radiation image captured by irradiating the subject with radiation, an imaging condition acquisition unit acquires imaging conditions, and a distance information acquisition unit acquires distance information representing the distance between the subject and a radiation detector. A scattered radiation information acquisition unit acquires scattered radiation component information representing a scattered radiation component of radiation included in the radiation image based on at least the imaging conditions, and a correction unit corrects the scattered radiation component information based on the distance information. A scattered radiation elimination unit performs scattered radiation elimination processing of the radiation image based on the corrected scattered radiation component information.

POSITIONING OF AN EXAMINATION OBJECT FOR AN IMAGING METHOD
20170354385 · 2017-12-14 · ·

A method is described for positioning of an examination object for an imaging method. The method is used to record an external image of externally visible features of the examination object. The recording of the external image is used as the basis for determining a position and/or orientation of at least one part of the examination object assigned to the imaged features. Subsequently, a check is performed as to whether the determined position and/or orientation of the at least one part of the examination object conforms to a reference position and/or reference orientation. Finally, if the determined position and/or orientation of the at least one part of the examination object does not conform to the reference position and/or reference orientation, the position and/or orientation of the at least one part of the examination object is corrected. Also described is an object-positioning facility. Furthermore, an imaging medical facility is described.

X-RAY PHASE IMAGING SYSTEM

This X-ray phase imaging system includes a plurality of gratings including a first grating that is irradiated with X-rays from an X-ray source and a second grating that is irradiated with X-rays from the first grating. The X-ray phase imaging system includes an imaging unit that optically images a subject and one or both of the first grating and the second grating.

Method, device, and computer program product for capturing projection images with optimized movement path

A method, device, and computer program product for capturing projection images of an object are provided. An x-ray beam source is moved by a control unit on a path into a plurality of positions, in which an x-ray beam is transmitted. An x-ray beam detector is moved by the control unit into a plurality of positions, in which the x-ray beam, penetrating the object, is detected. The x-ray beam source and/or the x-ray beam detector are moved on a calculated path around the object, at a constant distance between the x-ray beam source and the x-ray beam detector or the object. The path is described by an nth degree polynomial and determined by the control unit through an optimization of a path along the central x-ray beam. The polynomial is selected such that a safety clearance with respect to the object is maintained and a distance between the x-ray beam detector and the object is minimized.
