A garment comprising a central portion including a plurality of electrocardiogram leads, a plurality of auscultation acoustic sensor devices, a flexible respiratory sensor located so that it substantially circumscribes the garment, one or more blood pressure cuff portions located on an at least one arm portion of the garment, wherein the cuff portions are adapted to be loosened and/or tightened and a hardware device for sending and receiving signals via wired or wireless communication.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ANALYZING RISK ASSOCIATED WITH RESPIRATORY SOUNDS

Embodiments of the present disclosure relates to a method and system for analyzing risk associated with respiratory sounds. The system comprises a respiratory monitoring device to assign risk category to a plurality of respiratory sound signals captured by at least one acoustic sensor. The present disclosure includes receiving the respiratory sound signals captured by at least one acoustic sensor and a user input data comprising information related to symptoms from a user interface of a user device. The present disclosure further includes deriving primary respiratory sound characteristics for each captured respiratory sound signal, and determining secondary respiratory sound characteristics based on the primary respiratory sound characteristics. The presence of inflammation in one or more of airway, pleura and parenchyma is determined based on the secondary respiratory sound characteristics, and a risk category associated with respiratory sound signal is assigned based on the presence of inflammation and the user input data.

Medical apparatus (20) includes an auscultation pickup unit (26) configured to sense acoustic waves emitted from a body of a subject (24) and to output signals in response thereto. Processing circuitry (40, 42, 44, 50) is configured to collect the signals output while the auscultation pickup unit contacts multiple locations on the body of the subject, including a respective signal acquired at each contacted location, to extract from each of the signals features of breath sounds of the subject, to compute multiple local scores including a respective local score for each contacted location based on the features extracted from the respective signal, and to classify a respiratory condition of the subject by combining the multiple local scores.

An apparatus including a main processing unit. The apparatus further including a precordial patch coupled to the main processing unit, the precordial patch having a plurality of sensors for detecting heart sounds and cardiac electrical signals (ECG). The apparatus further including a probe coupled to the main processing unit, the probe having a sensor for detecting oxygen saturation of blood circulating through a human. A method is further described including simultaneously measuring and analyzing heart sounds, cardiac electrical signals (ECG) and oxygen saturation of blood circulating through a human. The method further includes performing an algorithm to determine the presence of a significant congenital heart disease and displaying management recommendations based on results of the algorithm.

A stethoscope according to exemplary embodiments of the inventive concept includes a chestpiece for examining a patient by contacting him on the body, a microphone unit for receiving a doctor's voice, a first headset unit connected to the doctor's ears, and a second headset unit connected to the patient's ears, and a guiding unit guiding the chestpiece and the microphone unit to be each connected to at least one of the first headset unit and the second headset unit. Such the composition of the stethoscope enables the patient to listen to the doctor's voice as well as the auscultation sound gathered through the chestpiece, selectively.

Barrier dispenser and method of using the same

Apparatus and methods for applying a barrier to a medical scope are provided. An apparatus may comprise a source of film and a housing. The housing may comprise a chamber configured to support therein the source of film, and an opening provided through a wall of the housing to permit a portion of the film to extend out of the chamber when the film is dispensed. The housing may comprise a recess located such that the extended portion of the film is permitted to hang freely in proximity to the recess. The recess may be sized to receive a distal portion of the medical scope. The recess may be adapted to allow the extended portion of the film to be applied to the distal portion of the medical scope when the distal portion is placed into the recess with the portion of the film located therebetween.

METHOD OF DETECTING DICROTIC NOTCH

A method for assessment and/or monitoring a person's cardiovascular state comprises: using a sound and vibration transducer to acquire a vascular sound signal in order to detect a vascular sound from a cervical, thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, or lower limb region of the person; filtering the vascular sound signal to isolate the vascular sound, said filtering using a filter which attenuates frequencies below a lower cut-off frequency in a range of 100-300 Hz; and analyzing the filtered sound signal in order to determine whether an indication of a dicrotic notch in the vascular sound exceeds a set threshold.

MEDICAL DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM

An auscultatory sound signal from at least one auscultatory sound-or-vibration sensor is segmented into a plurality of associated heart cycle segments responsive to associated R-peak locations of an electrographic envelope signal representing an envelope response to an even power of an associated electrographic signal from an ECG sensor. A representation an envelope responsive to an even power of said auscultatory sound signal within said at least one heart cycle is locally modeled about at least a second peak to provide for locating the start of diastole of said at least one heart cycle.

HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems, methods and devices for reducing noise in health monitoring including monitoring systems, methods and/or devices receiving a health signal and/or having at least one electrode and/or sensor for health monitoring.
