The present invention is able to provide a lubricating oil composition for compression refrigerating machine having excellent thermal/chemical stability even when used for a compression refrigerating machine using a saturated fluorinated hydrocarbon refrigerant having a low carbon number and a low global warming potential, by using a refrigerant containing a saturated fluorinated hydrocarbon having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, which uses, as a base oil, an oxygen-containing organic compound composed of at least one member selected from a polyoxyalkylene glycol, a polyvinyl ether, a copolymer of a poly(oxy)alkylene glycol and a polyvinyl ether, a copolymer of a poly(oxy)alkylene glycol monoether and a polyvinyl ether, and a polyol ester, each having a hydroxyl value of not more than 15 mgKOH/g.

Amine alkoxylate compositions and their use as lubricant additives

HIGH PERFORMANCE ENVIRONMENTALLY ACCEPTABLE HYDRAULIC FLUID
A novel hydraulic (e.g., a biohydraulic) fluid which has high performance attributes is disclosed herein. Such a novel hydraulic fluid includes a contribution of a range of 10% up to about 85% by weight of at least one of: natural esters, synthetic esters, polyols, a vegetable oil, 1% up to about 40% by weight of polyalphaolefin (PAO), 1% up to about 40% by weight of polyalkylene glycol (PAG), and mixtures thereof, and wherein up to about 10% by weight quantity of one or more additives are introduced to provide desired properties that include at least one of: a high viscosity index, a low pour point, a hydrolytic stability, and an oxidative stability, as part of the hydraulic fluid contribution.
FATTY AMINE ETHOXYLATE IN POLYALKYLENE GLYCOL BASED ENGINE OILS
A composition contains a polyalkylene glycol and a fatty amine ethoxylate, the fatty amine ethoxylate having non-cyclic structure of structure (I). Where R is a linear, non-cyclic carbon-containing group with that is free of nitrogen, x and y are selected from a group consisting of zero and positive values provided that the sum of x and y are in a range of 8-20.

Lubricant composition
A lubricant composition for application onto a surface of drive elements includes: a base oil; and a silasesquioxane. In an embodiment, the silasesquioxane has the chemical formula [RSiO3/2].sub.n with: n=6, 8, 10, 12; where R independently of one another=alkyl (C1-C20), cycloalkyl (C3-C20), alkenyl (C2-C20), cycloalkenyl (C5-C20), alkynyl (C2-C20), cycloalkynyl (C5-C20), aryl (C6-C18) or heteroaryl group, oxy, hydroxy, alkoxy (C4-C10), oxirane polymer (degree of polymerization with 4 to 20 repeat units), carboxy, silyl, alkylsilyl, alkoxysilyl, siloxy, alkylsiloxy, alkoxysiloxy, silylalkyl, alkoxysilylalkyl, alkylsilylalkyl, halogen, epoxy (C2-C20), ester, aryl ether, fluoroalkyl, blocked isocyanate, acrylate, methacrylate, mercapto, nitrile, amine, and/or phosphine group, each substituted or unsubstituted.

ANTIOXIDANT MIXTURE FOR LOW VISCOUS POLYALKYLENE GLYCOL BASESTOCK
The invention relates to a lubricant comprising a polyalkylene glycol basestock, an aromatic amine of the formula (I) as defined hereinafter, and a thioether of the formula (II) as defined hereinafter. The invention further relates to a method for preparing the lubricant comprising the step of contacting the polyalkylene glycol basestock, the aromatic amine of the formula (I), and the thioether of the formula (II); and to a method for reducing the oxidative degradation of the lubricant comprising the step of contacting the polyalkylene glycol basestock, the aromatic amine of the formula (I), and the thioether of the formula (II).

SLIDING MEMBER
A sliding member includes a back metal layer and a sliding layer on the back metal layer. The sliding layer includes a synthetic resin matrix and graphite particles dispersed in the matrix in a volume ratio of 5-50% of that of the sliding layer. The graphite particles are composed of spheroidal and flake-like particles. The flake-like particles have a volume ratio of 10-40% of total graphite particles. The spheroidal particles have a cross-sectional structure with a plurality of AB planes of a graphite crystal laminated along a curved particle surface, from the surface toward a center direction. The flake-like graphite particles have a cross-sectional structure with the plurality of AB planes laminated in a thickness direction of the thin plate shape. The spheroidal particles have an average particle size of 3-50 μm, and the flake-like graphite particles have an average particle size of 1-25 μm.

Compositions, systems and methods for introducing lubricants, and additives, that are designed to work with environmentally friendly refrigerants into vehicle heat management systems including passenger compartment air conditioning (A/C) systems are disclosed. Methods for charging lubricants and specific additives using environmentally desirable (low GWP) refrigerant or refrigerant blend compositions into an environmentally friendly system, such as a system that uses HFO-1234yf, are also disclosed.
