The present disclosure provides for a lubricant formulation and a method of forming the lubricant formulation for use in an internal combustion engine. The lubricant formulation includes a base oil and an esterified oil-soluble polyalkylene glycol (E-OSP) of Formula (I): R.sup.1 [O(R.sup.2O).sub.n(R.sup.3O).sub.m(CO)R.sup.4].sub.p wherein R.sup.1 is a linear alkyi having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, a branched alkyl having 4 to 18 carbon atoms or an aryl with 6 to 30 carbon atoms; R.sup.2O is an oxypropylene moiety derived from 1, 2-propylene oxide; R.sup.3O is an oxvbutvlene moiety derived from butylene oxide, wherein R.sup.2O and R.sup.3O are in a block or a random distribution; R.sup.4 is a linear alkyl with to 18 carbon atoms, a branched alkyl with 4 to 18 carbon atoms or an aryl with 6 to 18 carbon atoms; n and m are each independently integers ranging from 0 to 20 wherein n+m is greater than 0, and p is an integer from 1 to 4.

The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition comprising: (A) a lubricant base oil including at least one type selected from mineral oil, PAO, and GTL (gas-to-liquid) base oils; (B) a compound having a structure obtained by independently subjecting propylene oxide to addition polymerization with an alcohol or a structure obtained by subjecting a combination of propylene oxide with ethylene oxide and/or butylene oxide to addition polymerization with an alcohol, and being configured so that polyalkylene glycol (PAG) with an oxygen/carbon weight ratio of 0.35 or more and less than 0.45 and/or one or both terminal hydroxyl groups in the polyalkylene glycol (PAG) are blocked; and (C) a fatty acid ester having an oxygen/carbon weight ratio of 0.05 to 0.35.

Zinc-free lubricating composition

The invention is directed to a zinc-free lubricating composition for an internal combustion engine containing a phosphorus anti-wear agent, an ashless antioxidant, and an oxyalkylated phenol compound. The lubricating composition provides wear protection, deposit control, and improved acid control with reduced levels of metal-containing additives.

Water-soluble metal working oil agent

A water-soluble metal working oil agent which can be prevented from being scattered in the form of mists for a long period when used for the cutting processing, grinding processing and the like of metallic materials is provided. A method for producing the water-soluble metal working oil agent is described. The water-soluble metal working oil agent includes a polyalkylene oxide having a weight average molecular weight of 100,000 to 1,000,000 and water.

Lubricant composition for an engine

The present disclosure relates to lubricant compositions for an engine, including at least one base oil, at least one polymer for improving the viscosity index, at least one organomolybdenum compound, and at least one polyalkylene glycol, obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing alkylene oxides including from 3 to 8 carbon atoms, at least of which is butylene oxide, the polyalkylene glycol content being from 1 to 28% by weight relative to the total weight of lubricant composition. The use of at least one polyalkylene glycol, obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing alkylene oxides including 3 to 8 carbon atoms, at least one of which is butylene oxide, in a base oil enables a reduction in the wear of the connecting-rod bearings of the thermal internal combustion engines of vehicles with hybrid and/or micro-hybrid engines.

Lubricant composition for an engine

The presently claimed invention relates to a gear oil composition having a kinematic viscosity at 40? C. in the range of ?68 to ?1000 cSt when measured in accordance with ASTM D445. The gear oil composition is useful as a lubricant in a gear box, especially in a wind turbine gear box.
