LOW-ADHESION COATINGS WITH SOLID-STATE LUBRICANTS
Some variations provide a low-adhesion coating comprising a continuous matrix containing a first component, a plurality of inclusions containing a second component, and a solid-state lubricant distributed within the coating, wherein one of the first component or the second component is a low-surface-energy polymer, and the other of the first component or the second component is a hygroscopic material. The solid-state lubricant may be selected from graphite, graphene, molybdenum disulfide, tungsten disulfide, hexagonal boron nitride, or poly(tetrafluoroethylene) or other fluoropolymers. The solid-state lubricant particles may be coated with a metal selected from cadmium, lead, tin, zinc, copper, nickel, or alloys containing one or more of these metals. The solid-state lubricant is typically characterized by an average particle size from about 0.1 μm to about 500 μm. The solid-state lubricant is preferably distributed throughout the coating.
Polyurea crosslinked particles for transport device member, sliding member and method of preparing polyurea crosslinked particles for transport device member
Polyurea crosslinked particles for a transport device member are provided that have high acid resistance, increase long-term retainability when included in a coating film, and are capable of maintaining a high sliding property for a long time. The polyurea crosslinked particles for a transport device member are particles formed of reactants of a self-emulsifying isocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups and a non-self-emulsifying isocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups and having a ring structure in the presence of water and a crosslink density thereof is 1×10.sup.−4 mol/g or more.
COMPOSITION FOR SLIDING MEMBER AND SLIDING MEMBER
A sliding member includes a substrate, a first coating film layer which is provided on the substrate, and a second coating film layer which is provided on the first coating film layer. The first coating film layer including a coating film including a composition for a sliding member. The composition for a sliding member contains a binder resin, a solid lubricant, and at least one type of resin beads selected from the group consisting of amino resin beads and urethane resin beads. The second coating film layer includes the binder resin and the solid lubricant.
Aqueous coating agent composition and a coating composition for an aqueous lubricating film comprising the same
[Problem] To provide an aqueous coating agent composition (in particular, an aqueous coating composition for lubricating films that contains a solid lubricant) which as a whole is excellent in terms of flowability, applicability, and storage stability and which is capable of forming satisfactory and smooth coating films effective in stick-slip inhibition. [Solution] The problem can be solved with an aqueous coating agent composition which comprises (A) a curable resin in an aqueous emulsion form, (B) a surfactant, (C) solid particles, (D) one or more nitrogenous heterocyclic compounds, (E) a film-forming silicone in an aqueous emulsion form, and (F) water. In particular, it is preferable that the (C) component comprise a solid lubricant. In view of the environmental regulations, it is especially preferable that the (D) component be 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone.
ANTIFRICTION COATING FORMULATION COMPOSITIONS
An antifriction coating formulation composition is disclosed. The antifriction coating formulation composition contains (a) a resin and (b) a metal sulfide containing molybdenum and cobalt, and optionally (c) a solid lubricant other than the metal sulfide and (d) a solvent. A coated film formed from the antifriction coating formulation composition provides better wear resistance as well as good coefficient of friction.
COATING COMPOSITION FOR PRODUCING ARTICLE
A coating composition for producing an article is disclosed. The coating composition includes a blend of a polymer resin and a lubricating oil, wherein the coating composition is in a liquid-phase By using the coating composition, it is possible to produce the article which can be used in various industries, only with a simple process of molding and curing a polymer resin by the technique of the prior art.
Cutting work method and method for producing cut product
The present invention provides a cutting work method comprising a cutting work step of forming a through-groove passing through from a surface to a back face of a workpiece material by cutting the workpiece material with a cutting tool while bringing a lubricant material for assisting cutting process into contact with the cutting tool and/or the to-be-processed portion of the workpiece material, wherein the workpiece material comprises one or more materials selected from the group consisting of a metal, a fiber reinforced plastic, ceramic, and a composite material thereof.
LUBRICIOUS THERMOPLASTIC COMPOUNDS AND THERMOPLASTIC ARTICLES MADE THEREFROM
Lubricious thermoplastic articles are formed from thermoplastic compounds including (a) thermoplastic elastomer selected from thermoplastic polyurethane, polyether block amide, and combinations thereof; and (b) from about 5 to about 20 weight percent, by weight of the compound, of hydrophilic water-insoluble polymer selected from polyolefin-polyoxyalkylene block copolymer, crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone, and combinations thereof. The thermoplastic compounds are capable of providing enhanced lubricity in the thermoplastic articles without significant degradation in mechanical properties such as elongation and tensile strength, as compared to thermoplastic articles formed from the neat thermoplastic elastomer and subjected to the same heat processing history.
LUBRICIOUS AND DURABLE COATINGS FOR MEDICAL APPLIANCES
Coatings for medical devices having selectable levels of durability and lubricity are disclosed. The coatings include polymeric material components, the characteristics and relative amounts of which can be selected to provide target levels of durability and lubricity. Methods of making the coatings for medical devices are also disclosed.
