GREASE COMPOSITION FOR ELECTRICAL CONTACTS
The present invention provides a grease composition for electrical contacts, including: a thickener; a base oil; and an organic sulfur compound, wherein the organic sulfur compound is a compound having no heterocycle containing nitrogen in a molecule thereof.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION FOR DRIVE SYSTEM DEVICE, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF, METHOD FOR LUBRICATING DRIVE SYSTEM DEVICE, AND DRIVE SYSTEM DEVICE
The present invention relates to a lubricating oil composition for drive system apparatus having excellent wear resistance and oxidation stability and a method for producing the same, a lubrication method of a drive system apparatus using the foregoing lubricating oil composition, and a drive system apparatus.
Lubricating Compositions
A lubricating composition suited to use for lubricating a hydraulic system includes an oil of lubricating viscosity and a compound comprising a polyolefin-substituted bridged hydroxyaromatic compound or metal salt thereof, wherein the wherein the polyolefin is derived from a isobutylene having a number average molecular weight of 150 to 800.
Azole derivatives as lubricating additives
Lubricating compositions comprising an azole-acrylic adduct formed by contacting an azole compound with an acrylic. The adduct formed has at least one nitrogen-alkyl group comprising at least one acyl. The lubricating composition also comprises an antiwear agent and an antioxidant. Methods of lubricating an internal combustion engine comprising contacting the internal combustion engine with the lubricating composition comprising an azole-acrylic adduct formed by contacting an azole compound with an acrylic. Methods of reducing corrosion and/or seal deterioration in an internal combustion engine. The use of an azole-acrylic adduct in a lubricating composition to reduce corrosion and/or seal deterioration in an internal combustion engine.
Lubricant composition containing an antiwear agent
The invention provides a lubricant composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and a protic acid salt of an N-hydrocarbyl-substituted gamma-(γ-) or delta-amino(thio)ester. The invention further relates to a method of lubricating a mechanical device with the lubricant composition.
Alkylphenol Detergents
The disclosed technology relates to hydrocarbyl- (e.g. alkyl-) phenol detergents and their salts, where the hydrocarbyl group includes moieties equivalent to 5 to 10 carbon branched polyene compounds. Such compounds and their salts are useful as lubricant additives.
VAPOR PHASE CORROSION INHIBITION
The disclosed technology relates to the inhibition of corrosion on electrically conductive componentry subjected to a lubricant composition, but that is not submersed in the lubricant composition, or in other words, vapor phase corrosion inhibition. The technology more particularly relates to the use of azole compounds capable of inhibiting corrosion of the electrically conductive componentry in the vapor space above a lubricant composition, and often in the liquid phase of the lubricant composition as well.
Composition and Method for Lubricating Automotive Gears, Axles and Bearings
The disclosed technology relates to a lubricant composition for automotive gears, axles and bearings, the lubricant composition containing an oil of lubricating viscosity and a metal thiophosphate compound, such as zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, as well as a method of obtaining extreme pressure performance in automotive gears, axles and bearings at lower sulfur content than is typical, by lubricating such automotive gears, axles and bearings with a lubricant composition containing a metal thiophosphate compound, such as zinc dialkyldithiophosphate.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITIONS FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS
The present invention generally relates to lubricating oil compositions useful for automatic transmissions, and particularly transmission oils for automotive automatic transmissions in battery electrical vehicles (BEVs), hybrid vehicles (HVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs). The lubricant is free of metal compounds (e.g., Ca, Mo, or Zn) and demonstrates high volume resistivity, wear protection, and copper corrosion resistance.
Cylinder lubricating oil composition for crosshead diesel engine
(1) A cylinder lubricating oil composition for a crosshead diesel engine, the composition having: a sulfated ash content of 2.0 to 5.5 mass %; a base number of 15 to 45 mgKOH/g; and an autoignition temperature of no less than 262° C. (2) A cylinder lubricating oil composition for a crosshead diesel engine, comprising: a lubricant base oil; (B) a Ca sulfonate detergent having a base number of no less than 10 mgKOH/g and less than 60 mgKOH/g; (C) a Ca phenate detergent having a base number of 55 to 200 mgKOH/g; (D′) an amine antioxidant; and (E′) a zinc dithiophosphate, wherein the composition has a base number of no less than 15 mgKOH/g and less than 120 mgKOH/g.
