Lubricant Compositions For Reducing Timing Chain Stretch
A method for reducing timing chain stretch in an engine comprising a step of lubricating said timing chain with a lubricating oil composition that includes a major amount of a base oil; and a minor amount of an additive package including (a) at least one overbased calcium detergent, (b) at least one borated dispersant, (c) a metal dialkyl dithiophosphate, and (d) at least one molybdenum compound. The lubricating oil composition has a TBN value of at least 7.5 mg KOH/g of the lubricating oil composition, at least 80 ppm of molybdenum, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, a weight ratio of total calcium in the lubricating oil composition to total molybdenum in the lubricating oil composition of less than 8.4; and a weight ratio of nitrogen from the dispersant in the lubricating composition to total boron in the lubricating oil composition of from 2.6 to 3.0.

LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
A lubricating oil composition including: a lubricant base oil; (A) a calcium salicylate detergent in an amount of 0.005 to 0.03 mass % in terms of calcium on the basis of the total mass of the composition; and (B) a phosphite ester compound represented by the following general formula (1) in an amount of 0.01 to 0.06 mass % in terms of phosphorus on the basis of the total mass of the composition:

Refrigerator oil and hydraulic fluid composition for refrigerators
A refrigerating machine oil having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 0.5 mm.sup.2/s or more and 2.5 mm.sup.2/s or less, a distillation end point in gas chromatography distillation of 380° C. or more and 450° C. or less, and a sulfur content of 0.001 mass % or more and 0.2 mass % or less.
GREASE COMPOSITION
A grease composition may be used for speed reducers and speed increasers, being excellent in both torque transmission efficiency and leak prevention performance. The grease composition may contain a base oil (A) and a urea-based thickener (B), which is used for speed reducers and speed increasers, wherein the particles containing the urea-based thickener (B) in the grease composition satisfy the following requirement (I). Requirement (I): the area-based arithmetic average particle diameter of the particles is 2.0 μm or less, as measured by a laser diffraction/scattering method.
Phosphorylated dispersants in fluids for electric vehicles
The present disclosure relates to a lubricating fluid for an electric motor system and a method of lubricating gears and cooling a motor in an electric motor system. In particular, the disclosed technology relates to a lubricating fluid, for use in electric motor vehicle, comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and at least one phosphorylated dispersant exhibiting increased resistivity after aging.
GREASE COMPOSITION
The present invention addresses a problem of providing a grease composition for a speed reducer and a speed increaser, excellent in both leakage prevention performance and energy transfer efficiency. The grease composition for a speed reducer and a speed increaser contains a base oil (A), and nanofibers (B) having a thickness (d) of 1 to 500 nm, wherein the nanofibers (B) are one or more selected from cellulose nanofibers (B1) and modified cellulose nanofibers (B2).
Lubricating Composition
A method of reducing low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in a direct-injected spark-ignited internal combustion engine comprising lubricating the crankcase of the engine with a composition comprising a combination of a molybdenum-containing additive and a boron-containing additive. Preferably, the composition comprises a calcium detergent providing a calcium content of at least 0.08 wt. %, based on the weight of the lubricating oil composition.

Preferably, the composition comprises a calcium detergent providing a calcium content of at least 0.08 wt. %, based on the weight of the lubricating oil composition.
GREASE COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to provision of an extreme pressure agent-containing grease composition using, as a thickener, a urea-based thickener, the grease composition being excellent in both torque transmitting efficiency and leakage prevention performance and also excellent in wear resistance and load resistance. The grease composition contains a base oil (A), a urea-based thickener (B), and an extreme pressure agent (C), wherein particles containing the urea-based thickener (B) in the grease composition satisfies the following requirement (I): Requirement (I): an arithmetic average particle diameter of the particles on an area basis as measured by the laser diffraction/scattering method is 2.0 μm or less, and the extreme pressure agent (C) is at least one selected from an organic metal-based extreme pressure agent, a sulfur-based extreme pressure agent, a phosphorus-based extreme pressure agent, and a sulfur-phosphorus-based extreme pressure agent.
