MUSK COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A fragrance composition comprising one or more musk or fragrance accords for use in reducing or inhibiting a subject's physiological reaction to stress. The composition can be incorporated into consumer products.
Process for the preparation of polysantol-type compounds
The present invention relates to the field of organic synthesis and more specifically it concerns a novel compound of formula (I). The invention additionally relates to a process for preparing a compound of formula (III) using the compound of formula (I) as an intermediate, wherein the process involves elimination of the R3(X)nC(O)O functional group of the compound of formula (I).
Micellar extended release nanostructures
Compositions and methods of manufacture for an extended time-release fragrance comprising volatile organic compounds. A composition of the disclosure includes an effective amount of a volatile organic compound for providing a fragrance that can be sensed by a user and fractionated coconut oil comprising caprylic acid and capric acid.
Organoleptic compounds
The present invention relates to novel compounds and their use as fragrance materials.
USE OF A COMPOSITION CONTAINING 1,8-PARA-MENTHENETHIOL AND 3-MERCAPTOHEXYL ACETATE AS AN ODOUR-MASKING AGENT
The present invention relates to the use of a composition containing 1,8-para-menthenethiol and 3-mercaptohexyl acetate, such as a plant extract and in particular an extract of timur (Zanthoxylum armatum), as odor-masking agent. It also relates to a deodorizing product in the form of an aerosol, candle, or electrical or wick fragrance diffuser, containing this composition.
HIGH PERFORMING, HIGH IMPACT BLOOM ACCORD
Disclosed are fragrance accords each containing (i) at least 7 wt % of one or more Class 1 fragrance ingredients, (ii) 5 to 85 wt % of one or more Class 2 fragrance ingredients, and (iii) 0 to 80 wt % of one or more Class 3 fragrance ingredients. The Classes 1, 2, and 3 fragrance ingredients are defined by experimental velocity. Also disclosed are delivery systems and consumer products containing such a fragrance accord.
Fruity odorant
The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I) that are useful as perfuming ingredients of the fruity type. Formula (I) is ##STR00001##
in the form of any one of its stereoisomers or of a mixture thereof, wherein R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.1-3 alkyl or alkenyl group, R.sup.2 represents a methyl or ethyl group, R.sup.3 represents a C.sub.1-4 alkyl or alkenyl group, and the compound (I) has from 8 to 12 carbon atoms.
Pro-fragrance compounds
A compound is provided of Formula (I) ##STR00001##
wherein R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.3 to C.sub.20 hydrocarbon group derived from an alcohol of formula R.sup.1OH, from a formate of formula R.sup.1OCHO, or a cinnamyl aldehyde of Formula (II) ##STR00002##
wherein a compound of Formula I is capable of releasing a compound, when oxidized, selected from the group consisting of a fragrant alcohol of formula R.sup.1OH, a fragrant formate ester of formula R.sup.1OCHO and aryl aldehyde of Formula (III) ##STR00003##
wherein R.sup.2 is, independently, hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, optionally substituted C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl group, C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxy group, or O(CO)CH(CH3).sub.2 wherein any two of R.sup.2 may form an optionally substituted 5 or 6 membered ring. The compounds are useful for example as a precursor for the prolonged delivery or release of fragrant compounds such as fragrant alcohols, fragrant aldehydes or fragrant formates.
Perfume compositions
Perfume compositions comprise between 10% and 30% in total weight of perfume ingredients selected from two groups, Group A, Group B, with the provisos that over 5% but less than 15% of the perfume composition must comprise Group A ingredients, and for compositions comprising less than 10% of Group A ingredients in the aggregate percentage of Group B ingredients present must be at least equal to the expression (2*/10A %) where A % is the total percentage of Group A ingredients in the composition.
