CONTROL DEVICE, RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM, MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
A control device including: a control unit that, in a case in which continuous imaging that irradiates a breast of a subject with radiation emitted from a radiation source to capture a radiographic image in a compressed state in which the breast is compressed against an imaging table by a compression member and then captures an ultrasound image of the breast in the compressed state is performed, performs control to locate the radiation source at a non-facing position where the radiation source and the imaging table do not face each other.
IMAGING MEMBER, CONTROL DEVICE, MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM, IMAGING METHOD, CONTROL METHOD, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
An imaging member including: a pressing member that presses a breast of a subject; and an ultrasonography member that has a first surface on which an acoustic matching member having fluidity is provided, and is provided such that a second surface on a side opposite to the first surface is provided on a surface of the pressing member, which is on a side opposite to a surface that comes into contact with the breast, via a coupling material having lower fluidity than the acoustic matching member.
CONTROL DEVICE, MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
A control device including: a breast thickness acquisition unit that acquires a thickness of a breast in a pressed state by a pressing member; a depth information acquisition unit that, in a case where an ultrasound image of the breast in the pressed state is captured, acquires depth information indicating a depth to which imaging by an ultrasonography apparatus which captures the ultrasound image is possible; a deriving unit that derives imaging information indicating whether or not capture of an ultrasound image having predetermined accuracy or higher is possible by the ultrasonography apparatus on the basis of the thickness of the breast acquired by the breast thickness acquisition unit and the depth information acquired by the depth information acquisition unit; and an output unit that outputs the imaging information derived by the deriving unit.
IMAGE QUALITY COMPLIANCE TOOL
The technology relates to a methods and systems for improving medical imaging procedures. An example method includes receiving a first set of quality metrics for a plurality of medical images acquired at a first imaging facility; receiving a second set of quality metrics for a second plurality of medical images acquired at a second imaging facility; comparing the first set of quality metrics to the second set of quality metrics; based on the comparison of the first set of quality metrics to the second set of quality metrics, generating a benchmark for at least one metric in the first set of quality metrics and the second set of quality metrics; generating facility data based on the generated benchmark and the first set of quality metrics; and sending the facility data to the first imaging facility.
TECHNIQUES FOR BREAST IMAGING PATIENT MOTION ARTIFACT COMPENSATION
Techniques for breast imaging patient motion compensation are described. An imaging system may include an imaging detector to capture an image of human tissue and a compression paddle situated apart from the imaging detector to compress the human tissue between the compression paddle and the imaging detector. A force sensor may generate a force signal indicating a measure of force applied superior to the human tissue. A movement detection circuit may filter a movement signal from the force signal indicating a measure of movement of the compressed human tissue. A movement analysis module may determine that the movement signal is beyond a movement threshold. An image correction module to perform a corrective action based upon the determination that the movement signal is beyond a movement threshold. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
MOTION, COMPRESSION, AND POSITIONING CORRECTIONS IN MEDICAL IMAGING
Methods and systems for imaging. For example, a system may include a breast compression paddle, an imaging detector, at least one sensor incorporated into at least one of the breast compression paddle or the imaging detector. The system performs operations including generating, at a first time point, first spatial data of the breast based on data captured by the at least one sensor; generating, at a second time point, second spatial data of the breast based on data captured by the at least one sensor; based on the first spatial data and the second spatial data, determining an amount of motion of the breast that occurred; and based on the determined amount of motion performing at least one of: generating a motion map for the breast; discarding one or more acquired projections for use in generating a tomosynthesis reconstruction; or correcting a medical image acquired the second time point.
RETENTION AND STABILIZATION OF ANATOMY FOR ULTRASOUND IMAGING
Systems and methods for the retention and stabilization of anatomy for ultrasound imaging are described. A system can include a vessel with a flexible membrane covering an opening, a fluid pressure sensor, a pump, and a pump controller for adding and removing fluid from the vessel until an optimum fluid pressure value or range of values is achieved. A method can include identifying an optimum fluid pressure range or value for retaining a specified body part in a stable position against a flexible membrane, monitoring the pressure of fluid in a vessel having the flexible membrane covering an opening, and directing a pump to add or remove fluid until the optimum fluid pressure value or range of values is achieved.
ACOUSTIC MATCHING MEMBER, ACOUSTIC MATCHING MEMBER GROUP, AND MEDICAL IMAGING APPARATUS
An acoustic matching member configured to be disposed between a breast placed on an imaging table and a compression plate disposed opposite to the imaging table is proposed. The acoustic matching member includes a protruding portion that protrudes toward the imaging table and that is provided in an end portion on a deepest side when viewed from a chest wall side of a subject in a case of compressing a breast of the subject in contact with the compression plate.
DYNAMIC HEADSET APPARATUS
A dynamic headset system is provided. The dynamic headset system includes a head cradle configured to receive a head of a subject and having a bottom surface configured to face a platform on which the dynamic headset apparatus is placed. The dynamic headset system further includes a device including an instrument adjacent to the head of the subject when the head of the subject is in the head cradle.

The compression system includes a first compression paddle and a second compression paddle. The imaging assembly further includes an ultrasound system including a first ultrasound probe coupled to the first compression paddle. The first ultrasound probe is configured to acquire a first portion of the ultrasound image information of the object. The ultrasound system also includes a second ultrasound probe coupled to the second compression paddle. The second ultrasound probe is configured to acquire a second portion of the ultrasound image information of the object.
