DISHWASHING PASTES

Described herein, are dishwashing paste compositions comprising: an abrasive; a pH modifying agent in an amount effective to provide a pH greater than 7; a structuring agent; and a source of polyvalent cations. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described.

Laundry detergent particles

The present invention provides a coated detergent particle having perpendicular dimensions x, y and z, wherein x is from 0.5 to 2 mm, y is from 2 to 8 mm, and z is from 2 to 8 mm, wherein the particle comprises: (i) from 20 to 39 wt % of a surfactant selected from: anionic and non-ionic surfactants; (ii) from 10 to 40 wt % of an inorganic salt coating selected from: sodium carbonate and/or sodium sulphate of which at least 5 wt % of the inorganic salt is sodium carbonate; and, (iii) from 10 to 40 wt % of calcite having a median particle size average diameter (D50) in the range from 10 to 70 microns, and wherein the inorganic salts are present on the detergent particle as a coating and the surfactant is present in a core with the calcite dispersed through the core.

Disclosed are coated or uncoated co-granules comprising the following: a) 10 to 40% by weight of cyclic sulfonimine, b) 20 to 60% by weight of bleach activator selected from the group consisting of tetraacetylethylenediamine, decanoyloxybenzoic acid or mixtures thereof, c) 0.1 to 5% by weight of organic acid in the form of the free acid and/or a salt thereof in partially neutralized form, d) 1 to 15% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol as a binder, e) 10 to 25% by weight of desicant selected from the group consisting of alkali metal sulfate, alkali metal carbonate, alkaline earth metal sulfate, alkaline earth metal carbonate, alkaline earth metal oxide, aluminum oxide, hydrates of these compounds or mixtures of two or more thereof, f) 0 to 0.5% by weight of dye and/or pigment, and g) 0 to 5% by weight of water, wherein the percentages relate to the sum of components a) to g) and the sum of components a) to g) is 100 percent.

These co-granules are stable in storage over a longer period of time and contain ingredients which do not tend to discolor during storage or which, in the case of colored co-granules, do not tend to change color.

Metal-safe solid form aqueous-based compositions and methods to remove polymeric materials in electronics manufacturing

Compositions and methods useful for the removal of organic substances from substrates, for example, electronic device substrates, are provided. A method is presented which uses a minimum amount of solid form concentrate that is diluted into water, introduced into a manufacturing tool and heated, applied to said substrate for a sufficient time to allow penetration and removal of an organic substance, and immediately rinsed with water to achieve complete removal. These compositions and methods are particularly suitable for removing and completely dissolving photoresists of the positive variety most commonly used in the manufacture of a flat panel display (FPD) and other electronic substrates.

Use of polyethylene glycol to control the spray pattern of sprayable liquid abrasive cleansers

Liquid abrasive cleanser compositions sprayable through conventional manual trigger sprayers comprise a polyalkylene glycol, a nonionic surfactant, a pH adjusting agent, an abrasive, and water, wherein sprayability is made possible by the addition of the polyalkylene glycol. The compositions that are sprayable and acceptable as hard surface cleaners comprise polyethylene glycol as the polyalkylene glycol. The addition of polyethylene glycol having molecular weight of from about 4,000 to about 1,000,000 dramatically increases the sprayer output volume of liquid abrasive compositions having greater than or equal to 10 wt. % calcium carbonate. Addition of polyethylene glycol of molecular weight of from about 4,000 to about 100,000 converts otherwise non-sprayable liquid abrasive compositions into reliably sprayable compositions. Addition of PEG having molecular weight from about 4,000 to about 100,000 also provides a method for controlling the spray pattern of sprayable liquid abrasive compositions, in particular a method for optimizing the diameter of a conical spray pattern produced from a manual trigger sprayer having a conical spray nozzle.
