Compositions and methods for dental applications involving zinc-oxide cements
Described are compositions and methods for the removal of zinc-oxide eugenol-based temporary cements or root canal filling materials from a variety of surfaces including surfaces inside the oral cavity, such as teeth, as well as surfaces of objects located outside of the oral cavity, such as instruments and prostheses. In certain compositions, the resin-dentin bond between permanent cements and collagen-containing surfaces can be increased. The compositions are non-toxic, can be used inside the oral cavity, and do not require special disposal procedures.
CLEANING COMPOSITIONS FOR CLEANING HARD SURFACES
The disclosure provides a cleaning composition for cleaning a hard surface, comprising: a) an oil and/or fat, wherein the oil and/or fat is from 1% to 20% by weight based on a total weight of the composition; b) a polyol; c) a surfactant, wherein a weight ratio of the surfactant to the oil and/or fat is equal to or greater than 1:5. The disclosure further relates to a method of preparing the cleaning composition and uses thereof.
JASMOL
The present invention relates to a composition for reducing malodor, preferably a musty and/or mouldy malodor, methods for producing such a composition and the use of such a composition. Furthermore, the present invention relates to preparations containing such a composition, methods for producing such preparations and their use. The composition comprises the combination of 2-benzylheptanol (jasmol) with a compound selected from (I) 3,5-di-ter-butyl-4-hydroxytoluol (BHT), (II) octadecyl di-ter-butyl-4-hydroxy-hydrocinnamate (Tinogard TS) and (III) pentaerythrityl tetra-di-ter-butyl hydroxyhydrocinnamate (Tinogard TT).
FRAGRANCE OR FLAVOUR MIXTURE
Fragrance or flavour mixtures containing (i) (E)-2-methyl-but-2-endicarboxylic acid diesters, (ii) (Z)-2-methyl-but-2-endicarboxylic acid diesters and (iii) 2-methylenebutanedicarboxylic acid diesters with a fruity, pear-like note are provided. Further provided are a process for the preparation of these fragrances or flavourings or fragrance or flavouring mixtures, and the use of the fragrance or flavouring mixtures to produce a fruity, pear-like fragrance or flavour or for the preparation of a fragrance mixture or a perfume oil, cosmetic agent, application agent, detergent and cleaning agent, foodstuff, animal feed or pharmaceutical product, as well as the products made therefrom which contain the fragrance or flavouring mixtures in a sensory effective amount.
IMPROVEMENTS IN RELATION TO PERSONAL CLEANSING COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to solid personal cleansing compositions which comprise a non-soap anionic surfactant, a carrier, an emulsifier, a humectant and water. The method entails preparing an emulsion of the components at an elevated temperature and cooling the emulsion to produce a block which can be re-melted and additised with colour, fragrance by downstream processors. The invention further relates to the emulsions and to methods for preparing the cleansing compositions.
A QUICK AND EASY CLEANING FORMULATION
The present invention relates to a composition and a method for delaying laundry. The present invention provides a fabric treatment composition comprising: a solvent system in combination with surfactants, a hydrotrope, and a sequestrant, wherein the composition has a pH ranging from 2.5 to 5.0. The solvent system comprises a glycol ether; a diol; and a fatty acid ester. The composition of the present invention provides cleaning and anti-microbial benefits when used on a substrate.
COMPOUNDS STABILIZING HYDROLASES IN LIQUIDS
Described herein is an enzyme preparation including component (a): at least one compound according to general formula (I)
##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1 is H; R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 are independently from each other selected from the group consisting of H, linear C.sub.1-C.sub.8 alkyl, and branched C.sub.3-C.sub.8 alkyl, C.sub.6-C.sub.10-aryl, non-substituted or substituted with one or more carboxylate or hydroxyl groups, and C.sub.6-C.sub.10-aryl-alkyl, wherein an alkyl of the C.sub.6-C.sub.10-aryl-alkyl is selected from the group consisting of linear C.sub.1-C.sub.8 alkyl and branched C.sub.3-C.sub.8 alkyl, wherein at least one of R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 is not H; component (b): at least one enzyme selected from the group consisting of hydrolases (EC 3); and optionally component (c): at least one compound selected from the group consisting of solvents, enzyme stabilizers different from component (a), and compounds stabilizing the enzyme preparation.
